Help me choose a laptop

My budget is about a grand.

I need good s-video out so ATi Radeon 9600/9700 seems good.

512MB RAM should be ok.

A 5.1 sound card is a must, the speakers can be total ass as i'll be using external ones or headphones.

Don't care about the processor, the cheaper the better.

80GB is a must as i'm a big retard when it comes to HDD management.

Not fussed about the screen as long as it isn't a blurry POS.

A DVD-RW drive. I don't mind if it's slow, speed isn't a concern here.

Durability and reliability are a must (this is why I need some help, I don't know which manufacturers are good).

you know the old Tiny stores turned into The computer shops well they have a AMD64 3000 with a gig of ram and 15 inch screen, Ati 9600 128MB DVDrw for ?999 supposedly a special offer this weekend

not that I recommend it but for the money its a high spec

Except that its Time/Tiny
insurance is extra
delivery is extra
recovery disks are extra,
theres no news on battery life
