JP SH4 - likelihood of English language option?

Hi there,
Hope this is the correct board for this (I'm new). I'm wondering if there has been any word on whether the Japanese release of PS2 Silent Hill 4 will have an English language option? Doing a search on this forum, it seems that both SH3 and SH2 had full English options (not sure about SH1) so I'm hoping that SH4 will too but haven't found anything indicating that yet.

I don't think anyone will know until the game is released mate - SH1 didn't have an English option, but as you say numbers 2 & 3 can be set fully to English - hopefully Konami will follow suit with 4.

I'm betting it will, as Konami have put one in SH2 & 3, and also The Twin Snakes.

Thanks for the answers Let's hope it does. If Twin Snakes did, then I'd say there is a very good chance it will. Apparently the Japanese version of SH4 for PS2 is due June 17th I think. Play-Asia have the XBox version listed for the same day.

Just a wee question to add, the japanese silent hill 2 & 3 had english language options but does this convert the text into english or was it just the voiceovers? Couldnt imagine the silent hill puzzles in japanese

Wasn't 2 and 3 released in the west first? Maybe thats why the JP versions had english text as the translation had already been done.

Same with MGS TS, this was a worldwide release around about the same time.

Is SH4 being released in Japan first?

Yep, it's released in Japan first. Check out this scan from a spanish magazine here - http://albumdefotos.terra.es/album_f...lbum.cgi/19660. There are english subs in these pics. That's a good sign, right?
