a problem with the wiring of an arcade cab.

I have a problem with my original Ult.MortalKombat 3 arcade. There is a brake in one of the wires of the right joystick. Sometimes it works and sometimes it doesnt. It's rather annoying.
My question is if it's possible to get new wiring for the machine ?

I'm not familiar with a UMK3 machine in particular, but with any arcade control planel you should be able to just replace the broken wire with normal component wire from maplins or somewhere like that. Just solder it in place of the broken one. Make sure the machine is off, and be careful not to damage anything in the machine, and you should be fine.

I've also just found a company that repairs and sells arcade machines so I hope the problem can be solved quickly.
