    Bangaio N64

Having read of speak that the N64 version is better/ different than the Dreamcast version. Yet i've never read why it's better.

    Anyone with details, please elaborate.

Apparently (I've never played the N64 version) they attempted to improve the balance for the DC version, but since that made the game slightly easier, those in the hard=good camp prefer the extra challenge.

You had to collect the fruit that destroyed scenery and buildings left behind in order to charge the smart bomb bar in th N64 version. In the Dreamcast take, the fruit just adds points to your score and your bar charges each time you destroy something.

I'm not sure if that was the only difference.

i had the n64 version (it only cost 5800 en) and it was a huge dissapointment, seemed like a beta rather than retail imho.. hardly any differences to the dc version that i could see, then i only played a demo of the dc one that came with some jp dc mag.

made a good profit when i sold it, but really its nothing special, definately not worth buying when you could have the dc version for pennies.

just my experience tho.. and i did love the `64..

I'd love to know where from. I've not seen it under ?40 anywhere.

I think Square is referring to the Jpn DC version.

I've always heard the N64 one sucked in comparison, mainly due to the controls being awkward.

I got Bangai-o for a fiver, PAL... 60hz and everything

                    Thanks guys for the information.
Guess i won't bother with the N64 then.

As for the JPN Bangaio, usually there's a seller from HK that has some for cheap/ new - at about ?20 not inc shipping which is another $10 or so.
I can't remember which handle he goes under though.
