I adore M2 and have a few of their games physically and digital, but haven’t picked up Aleste yet. Let us know how you get on with the collection, I might cave!
Played a couple in the aleste collection mainly the first game and the new gg aleste 3. If you like any of them you’ll enjoy the collection has a ton of options including decent filters and the comfort mode where it removes the hardware slowdown and sprite flicker limitations of the original hardware. As I never played any of them before I’m enjoying that retro shmup feel. The fact that they made that new one just for the collection was a really nice bonus. Kind of makes me wish I’d grabbed the gg micro special edition when it was still available but now that thing has an astronomical price tag.

Thanks for the impressions. I adore they have a toggle for emulating the OG slowdown or to remove it completely, it’s such a well judged touch that so many retro releases ignore or gloss over.

What’s the price of that SE bad boy now?

PS: Already looking at Amazon Japan for Aleste now. 😅

If you haven't found it yet here's the direct amazon page for it.

you can click the tab in the listing to show the limited box set someones selling a used one for 46,000 yen err i'll pass lol. But even on ebay they are several hundred for one. Switch gaming is wild, games costing over £100+++ for limited run type ones is way too common even older games from past gens used to have to reach retro ages before this crap started happening. Nowadays nope if it's only a few months old & it goes out of print bam triple digit price tags everywhere.

            New stuff.

Ok, Talos 2 wasn't an import.

Particularly enamoured with the second volume of "The men who turned their homes into arcades" - it's as if the first served as a rallying cry to the rest of the nation's nerds to one-up everyone in the first volume! If you're the kind to get a kick out of seeing huge collections, I cannot recommend it enough!

Loving that NES tournament edition, I didn’t even know the controllers were useable, on this game at least

Headsup doodledude - know you were asking before about Trip World, mine's only just come today!

A mix of stuff both imports & domestic releases.

The infinitely nicer version of the japanese famicom world championships, the badges are slightly different than euro ones the enamel is more recessed.

Some more gacha, tiny dagashi and some fully recreated books of the nippon natsukashi taizo series of books have a lot of these as full sized versions already kind of neat to have tiny versions.

Final thing is the book of Bill been ages since anything was released for gravity falls. kind of fun that this book is not intended for kids this time it's a lot darker in content so it's for adults only.

Was eagerly waiting for this parcel it was my birthday present to me parcel, the shipping destroyed me though as it was 6kg however i regret nothing.

Thats a biiiig box and you'll see why.

When i saw him randomly on amazon japan i fell in love at first sight, love his sculpt and it's a sofubi so the finish is really nice as they are super high quality pvc figures but it's not common to see this at this size hence his rather expensive price tag. Worth every yen i spent to get him here also in the same box was a copy of omori as i was waiting to grab the euro release then they cancelled so i grabbed the £12 japanese version instead. Also some new otafuku gacha and some books on gacha which is why my parcel weighed so much with them & mr pacman hogging the weight.

Boom Pacman all 30cm of him

He scales perfectly with the quarter scale arcade, this is how i plan on having them displayed when i eventually finish my gaming space and everythings back out.

todays gacha are based on sauces i eat a metric ton of, there's always a bottle of one of these in the kitchen.

final items are some books all covering the history of gacha from the showa era i love learning about this stuff, a lot of gacha in these books are super rare as they are mostly lost to time. Love how these books are photographic encyclopedias they cover everything. Only recently i learned of the Cosmos company that made their own stuff and their own machines, they were a very tiny company in japan with only a few staff yet they spread to quite an impressive scale across Japan. Modern gacha are really sophisticated in design & quality compared to the primitive stuff from the showa era. This type of stuff i remember as a kid in capsule machines at the seasides in the uk in the 80's Xmas cracker type contents.

Couple of new arrivals one from amazon one from limited run, absolutely love grounded glad it's now no longer a digital only title although i hate that i missed out on the special edition. Will have to try in december to see if i can grab one on the secondary market. Been a long time since i played baten kaitos i barely remember any of it when i played them on gamecube still have the originals but it's nice to have them as an updated double pack.

My copy of MK8 with all 6 waves of the booster pass DLC included finally arrived. Looks like nintendo finally updated the box art to reflect that it's all on the cart now the first ones they still had the text that it needed a download to get wave 6. Was worth the risk getting it from that nintendosoup store online as it indeed does contain all the DLC i decided to test it to see if it did. I deleted all my MK8 game data off my switch apart from the save data. Then put the new version in and played it till i could select a course and yup all 6 waves are in there and on the title screen it has the booster pass content ticked and when you go into the option it shows all waves are installed.

cart serial says revision 002 just like people online were saying

As you can see booster course pass is there as it has a tick next to it.

Going into it shows all the waves that are installed

i put my original copy of mario kart 8 back in to see if it would run now i have deleted the booster pass data off my switch and it wont let me proceed until i download it again as it's back to it's launch version of 1.0.0

So you can easily now tell if the copy of mario kart has all the dlc in this version as the back of the box now tells you.

Nice info re: Mario Kart. I've just plumped for it too from the same place. I've not played any of the DLC courses yet, so this will be a good excuse to go back and play some! New arrivals for me:

Cygni's a domestic release that snuck into the picture for simplicity's sake, and I was slightly miffed on receiving the IGS Collection to find the Play-Asia logo on the box. I'd not realised they were publishing it, and if I'd have known I would've avoided buying it new. Ho hum.

Nice pickups fuse don’t be alarmed if you hear nothing from nintendosoup for a few weeks it took over 3 weeks before they shipped out my order as I think they keep selling out of that specific Mario kart 8 so they are usually waiting for more batches but they did eventually send it out with a tracking number. Took about a week to get here once they said it had shipped.
