Ah, The Last Window then? On looking through Wikipedia while chea... er, doing research, I hadn't realised that we got translated Bomberman and Ys games that weren't released in the US.

Bingo! And hmm, I did not know that either. I am fairly sure though that Ys Books 1&2 got a joint release in the US though? Aha, yeah - link

Augh, been after those for a while. Was talking about Ys Strategy though! Time to do some trawling for the exclusive UK/EU releases and get a decent list together.

Already made the switch to US 3DS to enjoy a better release schedule and more physical cart releases, so I'd like to keep things consistent for what I do have, artwork included. I'm a little bit of a collector at heart, although I am playing the things instead of keeping them sealed and locked away.

... plus my French is ashamedly awful, yes.
Yeah I'm looking to get a US 3DSXL as well. Don't like the colors on offer, though.

I'm not mad about them either but the blue isn't so bad when you actually see the unit. Quite glad the the inner surrounds are black though. If a black US unit gets released I'll probably do a system transfer and trade up but I got sick of waiting and missing out on great games!

I'm hoping to be out in the US come August, and I'd really like there to be a new shiny XL for me to grab whilst I'm there. I bought the purple original 3DS last time I was out there, about a month before they announced the XLs. Grrr.

Quite surprised that Nintendo didn't announce new colours at E3. It seems like such an easy route to extra sales but one that they're apparently determined not to take.

Animal Crossing is on its way from P-A now. Seems like they have the US version in full English from a blog post I saw yesterday.

And I got a 3DS while I was in Japan early 2012... That wasn't the best purchase at all. I know why I got it then, but in retrospect I've had to change my purchasing strategy for everything after that slight mistake.

I guess it doesn't matter. The systems are selling anyway, and there are probably tons still on shelves and warehouses worldwide. There is a full white 3DSLL in Japan though, but the Japanese system I find to be the weakest with region locking and all. Interested in FE: Awakening, and that I won't play in Japanese. Platformers are fine.

I'm still on the fence for a 3DSXL myself, guess I'll go with the US version because of the region locking. But one of my biggest petty gripes is that I have to play Luigi's Mansion Dark Moon and not Luigi's Mansion 2 :P

Can't be pettier than my aversion to French on the sleeve.

So here's a thing. My US Project X Zone LE thing arrived from Play-Asia yesterday with a "L'?dition limit?e" on the front and a "L'ultime jeu de fusion" spiel on the back. Either all US copies of the game have been printed like this, or Play-Asia are on the Canadian bandwagon now too. Interestingly, all of my friends with UK copies have got a German age warning printed on the cart too.

Isn't the German rating mandatory for EU releases, along with the UK and PEGI ratings? The German rating alone takes about half of the cover though.
Maybe importing form Canada is cheaper, less paperwork and weaker currency.

I got a copy of P4G from PA and it was a Canadian version too. Guessing they're cheaper.

I believe that Project X Zone's LE is English/French everywhere in North America. With that said, I have gotten some Canadian games from P-A in their daily deals and weekly specials in the past. My ICO/SOTC and God of War HD collections had French text on them. (Really ruined the look of the ICO/SOTC cover, actually.)
