What is this? Memory cart? N64 content.

Just due out some old N64 stuff - is this a 4MB ram expander or just a battery backed memory cart for saves? I cannot remember options or how it worked for the N64.

I imagine the sram battery is dead at this point. Luckily nearly all the good N64 games don't need one of these for saving.
