Yeah - it did get slow at times which is why it was so easy. Made selecting my speeds a little awkward like.

I can't believe this thread is only 10 pages long. If I ran the country I'd force slags to play games like this. I'd include them in GCSE curriculum.

EDIT: I'm playing this in practice mode now - just incase I'm crazy enough to spend 2 hours on my own trying to increase my high score by 200K.

I need the soundtrack. I have all the songs embedded into my brain. It's only fair I pay Konami more money for the CD. They deserve it.

For some reason I cannot edit the first post in this thread (maybe because it is so old?) so I cannot update the scoreboard with your score Vic Vipr .

        Congratulations though!

I hereby claim the #3 position on the scoreboard!

          2,442,740/2-1/Type 2

All was well until I ran into the first boss on 2-1 which took me by complete surprise with TWO cores and blasted me to bits!

Well, #3 wasn't good enough so I've worked my way up to the second spot

I still get my arse kicked on this. And now I've got the old 'restart-fever' as well as soon as I feck something up.. Not even worth me putting scores on here. Yet.

Afterburner Climax has made me remember just how awesome this game is. Just from reading this thread all the different techniques for sections come flooding back. I might play again for a couple of weeks before I get rid of the PS2.

I swear I could get back up to my previous standard within a couple of days.
