Whats the best game for online multiplayer?

i was just wondering what games are the best in terms of fun online
personnaly i love call of duty and halo
comments? suggestions?

I have got to admit quake 3 has a much better Deathmatch but the onslaught mode in UT2004 is superb, you have to own both

I just cannot stand UT sadly. I've tried the original and 2003 and nailed myself to my desk to try and get something out of them but I'm just not feeling it There's something about the playing style which feels too loose to me. Quake 3 on the other hand just smacks me in the face with a 1kg dose of adrenaline!
