I've said it once and i'll say it again.
If your completely new to 3S goto www.combovideos.com, register (it's free!), and download the 3S Basics vid by Thongboy in the tutorial section of the videos.
It's a fantastic way to get up to scratch pronto. I found it most useful, enjoyable and it's the best 3S vid of it's sort out there.

I've seen it (well, the Pt1 - not sure he's released Pt2 yet) and yet it still doesn't deal with: being a total numpty and dealing with RSI from an S-Pad

Hurrah, the duck is broken. Having played around 70, I've now won 6. Well chuffed
Perhaps wasn't the best idea to try to learn how to play using Chun-Li, and I still can't perform the supers because of my fat hands/****ty controller S. I would also like to commend anyone not choosing Akuma or Ken. Every player seems to be one or the other, and it just gets a little cheap afer a while.
So, the wins may have been against some bloke's kid brother, but I don't care. Even better was when I tried being Remy...

I'm also a little concerned about the amount of people I've beaten who have then quit out the game before I get given the win. It's sad, I'm quite happy to have my face beaten all over the place, yet I fluke a rare win and they deny it me. Bastards.
I'd also like something like Burnout, where you can choose people who are of a similar rank to you. It's not fun being beaten by uber l33t types. So if there are any beginners out there, tell me, we can both get some wins off each other

hey i'm not that good as sf, although i do use ken and ryu almost exclusively (seeing as i don't use my online time to experiment with other characters) but still...
and also it seems ratings don't help as most people i played were smacking me up but had zero ratings as they'd just bought the game.Comment

If you guys have only got the XBox pad try using the analogue stick... I used the D-pad at first and it was crap!! Switched to the analogue stick and am now pulling off 12 hit Super Art finishers, works really well!!
