the rules

1. Games are played both home and away to combat lag in the same session ie week

2. 3 points for a win, 1 for a draw

3. games are played over default settings . so 10 mins and random enviroments etc

4. in reports of bad sportsmanship (disconnecting etc) points will be deducted

5. email results (both home and away matches) to me at [email protected] .. will update the thread on a weekly basis

6. matches are to be played at any time Monday to Monday ... the new week starts at midday Monday ... first matches can be started tonight if required

Numbers will be used to make it easier to list the schedules ... please remember your number . schedules will be posted on a month by month basis - there are 18 teams in your group so thats 17 matches .. followed by a knockout phase for the top 4 teams from each group (to find the eventual champion). knockout stage will be the winner of group A against 4th place in group B and so on ...

Well a lot of people probably will be away from their X boxes at christmas it may be a good idea to set a deadline for the current fixtures to be some time in the new year.

Me and Mr Beserkgoose have played our matches now, heres the results:

Owen (41 mins) - bizarre goal, some ****ty pass back to keep I did, ripped off me by owen, straight into back of net!!!

I felt the first half of the first game I owned things but for the 2nd half and whole of 2nd game my play went to pot and BG outclassed me by miles!! All good though, looking forward to the next game in the great tornament!!

PS: BG says he had a lot of lag in the first game, I have to say this was true in my return 2nd game, players teleporting all over the place! I have played about 30 games on XBL and never really encountered lag on this game until now, a crying shame! Hope there is a patch soon!! (also one to stop droppers!!!) 8)

Yep the lag was pretty bad, hope Konami do something quick. I really thought this problem affected everyone I can't believe you've gone 30 games without seeing any.
I don't know what the problem is, I'm not sharing a connection or anything like that I switch the modem cable to either my PC or XBox. Connection Speeds are consistently good when using my PC, and I'm on Zen internet one of the UK's best providers (apparently).

But it was still very enjoyable I look forward to the next games!
