Great score from the Gamefaqs guy, hats off to him. Would love to see videos of the different scores from everybody to have a look at all the different techniques.
I'm passed the 700 mark myself. Got 702 twice in a row believe it or not, had a great Baby Mario level with a 195 and I missed an easy red coin near the end. Bah, definitely think 800 is possible but it'll require some mad skills and maybe a bit of luck.

Some new scores, gutted about my Endless score, got shot point blank by them sneaky guys who throw spikes from behind walls - had a star coming to me though so I figured I'd grab that and become invinsible - didn't grab the star though, drew a bloody line of cloud instead!

Great Endless score taurusnipple, at least it was until I saw that 41,000! Bloody hell that must have taken ages.
You seem to have taken to it like a fish to water, just curious but do you find endless a bit harder the better you do in a level? I seem to be getting a huge amount of spikey things the more combos I get.
Up to 719 on Score Attack as well.

Earl, I have found Endless harder if I'm a Red Yoshi - thought it was just me though. I tend to be Yellow when I start though, once I break the 5000 mark I get in this decent stride where I grab 2-3 stars a section. Pre 5000 and I make silly mistakes for some reason.
41,000 though...I just want to beat 20,000, I'd like to have a Purple Yoshi in my high scores!

Having a hard time getting anything higher than 544 on Score Attack Earl, you know those boney birds that drop off shy guys (or whatever) do you tend to keep the birds alive so they drop more shyguys, thus being able to bunch a couple together and gettng bonuses? I'm struggling here, I want to keep them alive for the combos, but things really get hectic.

Yep I tend to keep the shyguys alive. You can herd them together using a balloon and then bubble about 5 of them together, huge bonus points right there.
Don't forget to use the spikes to your advantage, where ever there's one you can burst some coines on the spikes and that sets you up for some easy bonus points. There's two at the start to practice on, I usually go for the lower one so I get the shyguy walking behind, and then I just slow Yoshi down and pile a load of them for an easy diagonal on the very next screen. Usually I end up with a 10 hit there.
The more combos you get the more Lakitu appears, the bat area can be the most vital for a good score. There's a huge amount going on there but there's a huge possibility of some big scores. Normally instead of collecting the bubbled bats, I just throw them near a line of coins and try for some big bonus points. Tricky but when it pays of, it really adds to your score.

Can't speak for Earl, but for myself I draw lines at specific points in Score mode - as in I know already what to expect and what I'm aiming to do. Slowing down helps to setup a combo, move bubbles into place and setup clouds to walk on. Things get hectic when your a Black Yoshi, so it's a good tactic. Endless is slightly different. You only have a vague idea what to expect, if I'm unsure I'll slow myself down by placing small vertical clouds in front of me. The monkeys, if there's more than two can be a hassle, especially when you have the blue shyguys homing in on you - best to slow down and work something out.
