    N?rburgring Nordschleife GT4 challenge

My thanks to John Beaulieu for coming up with the idea in the first place.

I think it best to take into account the HP of the car. See below.

To make this more interesting I am taking into account the power of the car as well, as it is too simple to find a very cheap car and get to the top of the leader board. That would require the HP of the car to be stated (if it is PS as in the Japanese version that would need to be converted as well). Using the Cost per HP in the calculation we get:

    Riceburner07 - Mazda RX-7 GT-Limited (FC, J) '85 - 7.029
    Riceburner07 - Mazda RX-7 GT-Limited (FC, J) '85 - 7.066
    SonicMarmite - 1985 Mazda RX7 - 7.103
    S10 - 1985 Mazda RX7 - 7.12
    Bowtie - Mazda RX-7 GT-Limited(FC, J) '85 - 7.152
    KAB - Subaru Impreza Sedan WRX sti ver.III 96 - 7.632
    Riceburner07 - Honda CR-X SiR '90 - 7.727
    S10 - Subaru Impreza Sedan WRX sti ver.III 96 - 8.083
    KAB - Subaru Impreza Sedan WRX sti ver.II '95 - 8.165
    S10 - Mitsubishi Lancer EVO II GSR '94 - 8.304
    Riceburner07 - Subaru IMPREZA Sedan WRX Sti Version III '96 - 8.315
Bassman - Mitsubishi Lancer Evo IV GSR '95 - 8.516
    Riceburner07 - Nissan SILVIA K's S13 '91 - 8.614
    Bassman - Honda Prelude Si VTEC '91 - 8.681
    S10 - Nissan Silvia Spec R AERO (S15) '99 - 8.853
    Fuddle - Honda Integra Type R '95 - 9.018
    SonicMarmite - Honda City Turbo II '83 - 9.594
    SonicMarmite - 1983 Toyota Sprinter Trueno GT-Apex - 9.677
    S10 - Toyota Corolla Levin Gt-Apex '8 - 9.76
    Riceburner07 - Mitsubishi Eclipse GT 95 - 9.969
    Bassman - Honda City Turbo II '83 - 10.217
    Riceburner07 - HPA Motorsports Stage II R32 tuned Volkswagen Golf - 11.334
    S10 - Mazda RX-7 GT-Limited(FC, J) '85 - 11.386
    SonicMarmite - 1993 Mazda RX7 - 11.964
    Riceburner07 - Toyota SUPRA 2.5GT Twin Turbo R - 13.43
    Drift God - Nissan Bluebird Hardtop 1800Sss (910) '79 - 15.596
    Bassman - Mitsubishi Minica Dangan ZZ '89 - 16.322
    SonicMarmite - Honda Today G '85 - 24.619
    Bassman - Honda Today G '85 - 26.724
    John Beaulieu - Honda Civic Type R '97 - 27.332

I tried an EVO IV which I thought might be "useful". I obviously need to drive it faster or find something else.

The Evo IV had an oil change to bring the cost to 10,542 and had 277 HP and time was 8:44.509.

Sorry to keep getting same car and beating evarone, but I cba to find out which hellishly slow car is the least slow. Nice practise at holding corner speeds though. ^_^

      Honda Today G `85 (Standard, No oil changes etc. - 30PS) - Cr. 234,400 - 12m18.567s

To make it a bit more skillfull, why not have it so you can`t go below certain figures, like Cost Cr.1m (10k on PAL), Power 100PS, etc. All these painfully slow hatches are doing me box in. p

slow laps are not for me either (but each to their own); new thread started here:

I prefer the second calculation method as this takes into account the power of the car but in relation to cost. This gives scope for upgrades provided you can handle the extra power. For an identical time a car can be more cost effective with an oil change as the oil change gives a 5% increase in power so if the cost is less than 5% of the car then it is worthwhile... i.e any car over 10,000 (1,000,000 Japanese version) is better off with an oil change. It does at least make life more interesting. I'll do both methods for the moment, provided people state the actual power of their cars.

Due to a seeming lack of interest I posted this on another forum and have updated.

            KAB used the following:

Subaru Impreza Sedan WRX sti ver.II 95'
            $..9,617........price of car
            $.......50........oil change
            $.....600........Semi racing flywheel
            $10,267........Total price

            271hp

            8'25.187......lap time on second try.

                  hi all Nurburgring fans

I would like to try and establish who has the fastest lap of the ring!!
i would like to break it down into laps using the #f1 car and All other cars!
Also please include control method. i.e all my laps are with standard ps2 dual shock pad!

My fastest lap in f1 car is only 5.09.89 i know many have done faster.

i have only had a few hours using this car as i prefer the challange of the GT cars

my FASTEST lap of all is a 5.03.66 using the Sauber merc

however i have managed to get 6 other GT cars to lap under 5.15.00 but the Sauber merc is fastest

my laps are entirly on the grey stuff and done in th bonnet veiw only
I know one day the sub 5 min lap can be done

i would be interested in dicussing car set up with any quick people as i have settings witch work for all the gt cars!! all i can say is gearing is very important

lets all get faster and faster

                  thanks

                    Nurburgring fans

I just won the F1 and now sauber merc. Took them both on to the ring and was disapointed on handeling as standard. Anyone have any decent settings for them to suit the ring as Im right on it with nurburgring atm and am fast if any1 is up 4 a challange maybe a no limit budget on mods but capped hp? Any more ideas to rekindle this original challange that i missed out on!
                    cheers ring fans

                    thanks
