Untold Legends dosent, ad hoc only as well. I hope some games come out with proper infrastructure mode enabled, as while Xlink Kai works you cant roam due to the need to install and login as yourself. Besides which it can still be a bit tricky. Wipeout Pure works pretty well up to 4 players, i havent managed to find and play any other games yet.

Here's the Mac OSX PSP mini-setup guide i did for some mates. Hopefully people are smart enough to make the logical leap for Windows versions, and we see more people on Kai playing PSP games (click links for bigger):

Step 1 - plug in ethernet wire (cant use wireless network and connect PSP) and turn off Airport and start ethernet network for laptop.
Unlimited space to host images, easy to use image uploader, albums, photo hosting, sharing, dynamic image resizing on web and mobile.

This third picture is me swapping from my home wireless network, to home ethernet one.

Step 2 - start PSP game and start a multiplayer game so that the green wifi active light starts up.

Make sure your PSP has its wifi green light on!

Step 3 - start Airport, then i can select the PSP as an ad hoc computer-to-computer network link.

    Step 4 - start Kai.

Step 5 - start GUI and check that the PSP shows as a detected device (Reachable = Yes and PSP = configured).

****ed up there, as i didnt wait for it to go Reachable properly. Generally this takes a few seconds after you go into a Kai Arena and connect to other humans.

I think this is the right place to ask.

Anyone want to play Everyone's Golf online?

yep, think we need a thread for PSP games/players via Infrastructure Mode, prehaps people set up could post which games they have and we can arrange some games (also need to post region of the games)

Think the only compatible game I have is Colin McRae (Euro) if anyone wants a race, post or PM.

I will try and find a list of games with Infastructure Mode also.

EDIT: assuming gaming via Infrastructure Mode isn't region free, anyone know ?

I'm a PES man, but couldn't resist picking up FIFA 2006 on PSP - when I heard it had an infrastructure mode.

Not too many people online, but I've had a few games. There was a lot of slowdown during the first match, but it wasn't laggy. I assume it synchs both screens together and slows them both down, rather than one lagging behind - a bit like DOA on Xbox. I much prefer that to PES4's laggy-ness, at least it's fair.

My other matches had bits of slowdown, but nothing too bad and the game ran well with neither lagging behind.

I'm quite impressed with the infrastructure mode. I'm used to Xbox Live as an online service and this was pretty simple after you've gone through umpteen attempts to get the 'sign-in' and 'persona' gamer tags you'd like.

There's a connection meter too, to find the smoothest games. Pretty good all-in-all.

Things don't need to be restricted to games with an infrstructure mode. I've not used it, but Xlink Kai lets you play games that only have ad hoc mode.

I've just got a PSP and Everybodys Gol is drawing me in... Would be nice to have some games against a human.

I think for all Link up games you need to both have the same region game. It has been that way since the GameBoy.
