Xbox Live - Logitech wireless Precision pads and headsets. Get em.

Just got the Logitech wireless precision pad and the logitech wireless headset through the post today. Paid around ?75 for the two but they are soo worth the money,

Both are mint, the precision pad is much better than the mini S pad. So much more accurate and responsive than any other pad ive ever used on any console.

Anyone else use these? Or can they reccomend any others?

My brother was gonna go for the headset but after reading the ign review saying the sound quality on the ear piece not being as good as the normal headset one and being ?50 he didn`t bother. Is this the case or has ign got it wrong?

Sounds good. What is the pad like (shoulder buttons, sticks etc)?

I have had no problems with the sound quality on the headset, crystal clear always. Its so light also, i used to get sore ears where the plastic from the official xbox one gripped my head. This just clips over your ear and fits snug. PLus i can go through to the kitchen and make a cup of tea and still keep up with all the banter in the lobby or game.

At ?50+ the headset is an extravagance, but as i spend 5+ hours a day on xbox live its a good investment imho.

As for the pad, another player in our clan got it yesterday also, he is a far better player with it. I swear he should be used in logitechs ads ''I used to be awfull at ghost recon 2 until i got the Legitech precision pad''! The precision pad is available with or without wires, either way i strongly urge anyone to get it.

The shoulder buttons are mint, every tap fires a shot and the vibration on the pad is more subtle allowing you to aim better. I swear by these pads. I tried it out on a bit of rainbow and Galo 2 as well as GR2 and the pad works well on them all.

I might treat myself to one then. The S-controller's shoudler buttons are too stiff for my liking and hurt my trigger fingers after a while.

BTW, I didn't notice that you changed your 'tag. Thought I hadn't seen you on Live much recently.

Yeah the shoulder buttons are soft on the logitech pad. I got a spare wireless pad on ebay today for ?8. Bargain!

Yeah Soi, i changed my tag when i joined NBK, im needing to check out the gamertag thread and add everyone again. You guys still on Halo?

I also ordered another wireless headset so i can have one charging while i use the other.

Well, I ordered a pad on your recommendation, and I'll let you know how it is when I get it.

What is NBK and what do you play? I'm playing Halo 2 at the moment (having had a break from all games for a few months)

I ordered a wired one from http://www.gameseek.co.uk/productdet...zgz75as5sqey9/. Seemed reasonable to pay ?15 for a new controller.

I managed to get hold of the Logitech wireless precision pad today for ?20 at a local video shop and first impressions are the pad is more comfortable to hold than the s type controller one and am very impressed with the vibration aswell especially as its no where near as strong as the offical one. Only downside is the triggers are slightly stiffer than the s controller and hurt my finger slightly after a session on midnight club 3 where your finger is perminatly down on the trigger, but these could easily loosen up over time. Overall very impressed.

Note that if you are wanting to play live with this, with the normal headset your gonna struggle as the headset has to go into the reciever port rather than the pad. Will definatly pick up a wireless headset when they come down abit.
