    Xbox Live, help needed

    Got on Xbox live for the 1st time today but having problems...

    PGR3 won't connect at all to a game.
    PD0 won't connect at all to a game
    COD2 connects but sometimes is rather jerky/laggy
    pro evo 5 connects to games but there doesn't ever seem to be more then 2 i am able to connect too. when i do its fine.

    my NAT settings say STRICT, i presume this isn't right??
    i'm using a BT Voyager 205 ADSL modem which i got this morning. any help is greatly appreciated.

    I tried to sort a freinds out for him, I couldn't do ANYTHING to make it work. Time for another modem perhaps

      This issue is usually associated with a firewall. Try turning all firewalls off.

        but if i turn off firewalls won't i get more viruses?

          It's the NAT settings - I had exactly the same problems with my Voyager 205 earlier in the week. Did you try the instructions that I PM'd you this morning?

            soz m8 been at work all day. much thanks for your help by the way
            gonna try them all now.

            Done the firmware step.

            3) "Next, set up a DMZ for your 360 using these instructions. Don't forget to configure your 360 as per the instructions on the page"

            wots a DMZ m8??

              can you post these settings - having the same issue at a mates and it would be useful to have a guide rather than work it all out.

                Sure, not sure if it works for other routers though.

                Rule ID IF Name Rule Flavor Protocol Local IP From Local IP To
                50 ALL DMZ ANY 192.168.1.35 192.168.1.35
                51 ALL Virtual Server ANY 192.168.1.35 192.168.1.35
                52 ALL Virtual Server ANY 192.168.1.35 192.168.1.35

                I had to manually set the 360 IP address and settings as per BT's instructions (there's a help page somewhere). Hope this helps.
