This game in my opinion is soooo ****. Been playing it for about 3 days can't put time in hours - no idea.

But the whole game is just about wandering hopefully levelling up. When you try tackle something that says "decent challenge" you get your ass whooped! Try disengage still kills you! Try hopelessly presiing help button, no fecking one can be assed!ft:

It's so poor, what tipped the opinion over the edge for me, was got the orc axe, tried give it back to the guy "complete your first mission, then come back again for another!"

Of course a mob's going to kill you if disengage and try to run away, you don?t just hit something and expect it to stop hitting you cos you gave up. I don?t understand how anyone can have trouble fighting DC mobs lvl 1-10, they?re so,so easy, I wouldn?t be surprised if you been starting fights with less than half HP or not using any abilities, weapons skills, or even updating equipment like cheap but stronger weapons.

As for Orc axe, if you?ve opened the quest, got the axe, TRADE it to the Mission giver and he will complete the mission for you, it sounds like from the description you gave, you're just talking to him.

How does one join in this FFXI bandwagon? I dont know anything about it, is it some sort of demo just now everyone is playing or what? I see everyone on my friend list on "PlayOnline Viewer". Is that it yeh?

You just need to get the Beta disc (came free with last months OXM), which will install the game onto your harddrive. Its not a demo, its the full game, but the beta version.
