just a quick question regarding the above.

are there any trials that work after you've signed up?
i've got 2 that are for new accounts only and my subscription runs out shortly

if there arnt any trials that work after sign up, whats the cheapest way to renew?

Usually places like Game/Tesco offer the PGR2/Halo2 pack (including 12month sub) for ?20 -?30. This can be used on both Xbox & 360

That's what bignige was saying. Get a new starter kit, and use that. Somewhere was doing the ones with Halo2 for ?18. Possibly Tesco? Can't remember for sure, and Rllmuk is down, so I can't check the bargains folder.

But yeah, starter pack is the best option. Get a spare headset game too, then.

Mine was due for annual renewal next week so I picked up a Halo 2 pack with headset and 12months subscription for ?14.99 out of Currys.
Went through no problem and the game + headset are now for sale on Ebay

Did you use this code on the 360?

If so, does it recognise it as a gold subscription?

I went to our local Currys and they didn't have much there for the Xbox at all and the only Live kit they had was a Starter Kit for ?39.99.

I've looked around and cannot find a cheap Live kit, but as soon as I buy a 12 month gold one, no doubt I'll find a cheaper one.

I went to Toys R Us tonight and they had the Fifa 2005, Halo 2 and Forza Motorsport Starter Kits for ?29.99, so I bought the Forza one as I have searched everywhere to find it cheaper.

I will sell the game and headset, so should be able to recoup some of the cost.

If I use the code before my current one expires, does it start when that ends or does it start straight away, thus losing the remainder?

I think a maximum 36 months can be kept on live. I just used my code and it added a year on top of what i already had, so i dont need to renew until 11/07
