    loads of great action last night, i liked that cheeky wheeled squad who went for our base with spikes!

    ill stick with a sniper but i could do with better sniper cannons, changing my crap short range rockets and binning the weak as water machine guns.

      Phoned 'em - They can't / won't switch my allegiance so I'm fighting for the opposition for the next fortnight.

      Should have some nice Morjoby parts to trade after it though

            I thought you had big defender cannons. What I mean is we need someone with indirect fire weapons like the howitzers. Is that what you had, apologies if I missed them.

              tbf I have both... a couple of cannons, a couple of howitzers and the Bastard cannon (which confusingly is long range artillery and not a cannon)

              tbh Im not convinced on the worth of the heavy gunner.. the ai is lethal with them because they're so accurate. Its useless once a hound gets in close though... maybe it needs a defender alongside

                  What is the major factor in the max weight which your hound can carry. I bought and equiped a load of decent weapons last night, only to find that I had to scrap most of them due to weight limits. Is it the legs ? The only ones I had an option to buy actually reduced the amount of weight I could carry

                  Have to say I love the lighting effect at night in the game, the effect of long rang shelling coming in over the hilss is fantastic !

                      Damn... I was in a free battle last night and some wheeled punk was wiping the floor with me and I just couldn't dodge his missiles, I thought he was just a really good shot with the anti-hounds.

                      I like my sniper setup, with a pair of fast re-loading sniper rifles and then a slow re-loading heavy set, so I'll look at taking a couple of those heavy ones from you Silvergun. Still not sure on what works for close range when people try to close me down. 4 machine guns worked well in the urban maps but in the recent matches they didn't seem to be as effective. I'm thinking 2 dumb-fire anti-hounds and maybe 2 spikes instead? I'm pretty weak armour-wise but don't want the additional weight. 1-on-1 I can usually take care of but 2-on-1 and I'm a goner pretty quickly.

                      I might get started on heavy mech at the weekend with some indirect fire weapons and possibly an NA setup (would need to do some commander missions first though).

                      Are Sega actively taking any feedback on the official forums? I think a laser rangefinder would be a really helpful addition. In Tribes 2 you would fire it at the target and anyone with mortar weapons could see the exact distance to the target, but the laser was visable and would expose the unit doing the targeting.

                        I know the employees at SoE and SoA are taking notes from the forums - The moderators are actually Sega employees. Whether they'll do anything about it or not, I don't know.

                        I'd imagine we'll need to get some special parts going for the homing missiles. Keep in mind that some weapons are rare, and will only show up on certain days and moments in the lotteries. I'd imagine the homing missile is one of those 'rare' weapons, but I could be talking out of my arse.

                        Anyway, back to work.

                            They need to do something like that because shots take far too long before you know whether you HAD the right distance or not as they'll have moved on if you missed.
