i never choose honda unless i'm joking about with mates (i've been on the receiving end of the hand slaps but i just dragon my way through them), and even then i hardly hand-slap.

as for zangief - no way i don't think he's cheap. i've had my ass handed to me on a silver platter by some pretty nifty zangief players in my time, and not cheaply either. it's just i have a much easier time dealing with proper zangief players when i'm chun li than when i'm ken (i have a tendency to dragon randomly leaving myself open for a piledriver).

believe me i aspire to be a decent zangief player!

How bad is lag on XBL?

Im considering buying a 360 JUST to play streetfighter online (with a DoA stick)...but will feel a bit cheated of ?300 if its rubbish. I was thinking of a supergun / NeoGeo AES but realised if i dont have any mates around the CPU gets old fast. Online, however, is an opportunity to piledrive many more people into submission

I dont tend to have too much of a problem with being a spaccer with SF moves (sorry "the pad...its the new pad whine moan"), but if its laggy that would really put me off.

find someone who's got it and try it out. it's a lame suggestion, but it's the only viable one really. one man's lagfest is another man's dream match. it's just so subjective.

personally i've been in quite a few laggy matches. in fact the majority of mine are slightly laggy, but not much. i've probably had about 10 games that i'd class 'lag-free', and they've all been with UK players. you have no control over where in the world your next opponent is as you can't narrow it down like you could with previous xbl sf games. i've only played in a few where the lag was unbearable, and when that happens i just dragon punch 'till kingdom come until the round finishes, or just walk away and give them the win while i make coffee or something.

i wouldn't spend ?300 just to play streetfighter on the 360. i'm already getting tired of it as i just keep playing the same old types* and noone seems to be bringing anything new to the table that makes me sit up and say 'wow i wanna play him/her again!'

*not counting fellow forumites who are fun to play

I'd agree with Billy. Me, him, and many others would say that no, it's not bad at all. others have said it's unplayable. It's not that our experiences are that different, it's just down to personal standards.
For me, it's fantastic to be able to play sf2 (and in the past, cvs2 and sf3) online against real people. And with FFS on it's way, and UMK3, and more to come I expect, it may well be worth it.

The title update will address connection and time out issues that have been reported by players. In addition, the Leaderboards will be cleared in order to offset players that have cheated by causing intentional disconnections.
