Street fighter 2 tournament: The New Challengers

OK, the last one is getting close to the end, we're up to the semi finals, and it will all finish by sunday night. I'm starting sign-ups now for the next one to give more time for people to see this thread and enter. I'll also PM everyone who showed an interest in the last one.

Rules:

Arrange, either through PM or posting here, games with each person in your league. The top 2 in each league by 12pm Saturday will go through to the semi finals. If all games are not completed, wins will be awarded to whoever has made the effort to play them - i.e. posted when they are available and attempted to make arrangements.

Games will be best of 5 fights, 3 rounds each. The host should choose his/her character first in the first fight, after that the winner of the previous one should choose first.

The overall winner should post the result on here so that I can update the league.

In the event of a tie for 2nd place, the result between the two tied will decide who goes through. In the event of a 3-way tie (oh god not again) there will be a draw made by whichever mod I can find to do it first.

A slight change to last time - the semis and final will be best of 7 rather than best of 5.

update - to save my sanity, can people please make an effort to get games played. You need to start posting on here when you will be around for games to get them arranged. We're all (most of us?) busy people, and we can't just rely on chance. I want to keep these moving so we can have more tournaments, and don't want people waiting around for others to finish. The deadline for league games is saturday noon, if games aren't done I'll award wins to whoever has actually tried to get them played.

i think limiting the entries would be a good thing though - we're having a wail of a time even with 8

but that's because 2 people haven't played a single game, and one isnt here for the finals. If we had more, then people dropping would have less impact.
Plus, if we get lots more, we'll just have more leagues of 4/5 people - doesn't really change much.

Number are still looking a little thin but I'm sure we'll get a couple more soon. I'm going to make the draw for leagues tonight with whoever we have, but allow new signups until close of play on monday.
That way we can still get started straight away, and it's no hassle to add a couple more in as needed.
System will be more or less the same as last time, we'll have 2 leagues, top 2 go through to knockouts from each league. I'll update the first post with full rules and leagues tonight.

I'll be up for games any night, 7:30-9:30 ish, though later in the week should be better for me. I'm about to switch BB providers and my current one has mysteriously started giving me problems...
I keep losing connections after a few matches, and don't want that to happen in a tournament game.
Should be switched over in the next day or so, but I'm sure it'll hold for a match if anyone feels the need before then.
