Xbox Rewards - actual prizes for gaining gamerscore points now confirmed

I get the impression Old Spice is a much bigger franchise over in the US than it is here, we'll probably get some other make of self grooming branded tat. That said however, the branded tat is probably what is in limited quantity so not everyone will be getting it (oh the shame)

This is pure marketing genius. It's a win-win for Microsoft because it encourages people to buy more games and favour 360 versions of multi-format titles over the competition, but it's also a source of secondary income from the advertising / promotions. I expect we'll see this sort of thing a lot more in the near future, and not just from the hardware companies.

I reckon they should get Cillit Bang to sponser the UK version!

Then possibly make some sort of live arcade game where he's just shouting at you for no reason, over and over even though there is no need to be shouting because the game is set in a nice peaceful house, where you are watching the TV and there is nobody shouting during adverts...you get to splatter him with at least 100 different weapons for one million gamerscore.
