Just had another quick go.. out of town and Wii-less for the next few days so looks like my final time for this round and I expect I'll have dropped down the rankings a bit by the end of it!

Do you guys recommend staying away form all trick ramps? (including the first two before the river)

I think it's pretty equal, ie nothing really gained either way.

its definitely debatable if your constantly getting high jumps/tricks when you go over the ramps then going round is usually quicker, it gets even more complicated on koopa kape because of the river

however long story short imo going round is usually quicker than up and down

Well on the river I don't use the ramps (the ramp is definatly slower), but for the other two I have been using the ramp.

Will try without the ramps and see if I get an improvment

For my time i didnt use any of the ramps but i found using that first ramp near the mushrooms didnt really slow me down much on the first few attempts.

Most the time ramps just slow you down :/

Thanks for the ghosts, guys. Still having a complete mare controlling the bike, but have set aside a lot of time tomorrow to get it sorted and study the ghosts.

Thanks rez having you infront on the first lap pushed me to make up time, I can easily go 2 seconds quicker in the time lost on the first lap:
