Nice flat tarmac surface and lighter character & vehicle combo than we've used of late, also a fairly quick race, under two minutes for three full laps so expect some close times. Believe just the one shortcut to be had on this track.

An early time from me (no PS3/360 = no GTAIV )..

        r3z / r|3|z / 1.45.630 / Wiimote & Nunchuck

Used the shortcut but it doesn't seeem possible to beat the expert ghost on this track either.. but at least it's a lot easier to get around it than the last few.

I'd like it also please r3z.

Thirty minutes in and Holliss in almost competitive time shocker ! give me flat tarmac any day of the week, need to watch the expert ghost again, guess I'm missing out on a mini-turbo after the jump. Enjoying this one.

Sent you my ghost for what it's worth Mike

It helped alot cheers, I have since beaten the ghost I sent back to you too. Found an extra mini turbo per lap

This course relies on taking the corners very very tight to gain the extra time needed

                  1.45.961 for me, very pleased.

Thanks for the ghost r3z, though we use quite different tactics in places.

For the benefit of Mike and others, r3z ...

                  - takes first couple of bends inside the cones, saves a bit of time taking then that tight
                  - uses his mushroom before hitting the bottom of the stairs, you'll be surprised how early you can use it and still make it to the boost pad fine
                  - r3z manages a left pointing boost on the exit of the tunnel
                  - final left hander r3z doesn't mount the pavement, instead starts drifting level with the start of the pavement and manages a orange boost before the finish line

I mount the pavement every lap and manage a blue flame boost while staying on the pavement right past the finishing line. Apart from that virtually as you do Mike, I prefer taking the long right hander near the end of the lap a bit wide so you exit the corner fairly tight. Will send you both my ghost now

EDIT: r3z also manages a boost before the tunnel, a quick left hop then right one (after the jump) leads into a nice drift, hard to perfect every lap though - and not used on my best run at all. R3z only manages to go inside the cones near the start of the lap on the first lap, just hugs them tightly after that.

Hope you don't mind me giving away you strategy mate

No problem I think I decided to go outside of the cones rather than inside/through them after the first lap as I wasn't certain if hitting cones actually make you a little bit slower or not.. you can probably take quite a few corners tighter if they don't have any effect.

99% sure hitting cones does slow you slightly - when driving normally or on a turbo, have noticed that when racing against my ghost, however don't know if it slows you when drifting.

Just sent you my ghost back David. Your route improved my time when I figured out where to drift to stay on the pavement at the end of the lap

Think I can go faster too
