Heh I just seemed to get into my groove for a bit.

Just played another one of my mates and the first 4 fights were 50/50 pretty much all the way but then he got destroyed by Zangief, Dee Jay, Chunners & Dhalsim.

I wouldn't stand a chance against Phillai though!!!

phillai's like playing the cpu - just watch for the patterns. It's a lot like snooker with his Zangief - he'll jump in and hit, then do a low sweep. Whether you block it or not, 99% of the time you'll get spinning pile-drivered. Once that's happened, he'll then do that fireball-slap to get right next to you and then do another low sweep into spinning pile driver. You'll basically be twiddling your thumbs waiting for him to fluff up because that's the only way (from what I've seen) you'll get an opportunity. If you block it, he's recovered before you have anyway.

I was just going to add that even if I do play I may not be on the headset till late, as although my wife doesn't mind me playing online when she is there, she usually goes in a strop if I ignore her and 'talk to the headset'!

I'm probably not going to be playing this much right now as my set top box keeps crashing (bloody homechoice. guaranteed to conk out once a year at least, and always when i need it most. seems SF-related, too. it crashed when SF2HF came out and we had to wait for a new box)
