Outrun: Online Arcade [PS3/360]

Just had some good games with teddy, Jake and a few others. We just failed the 15 course challenge by not finishing (got a few seconds before the checkpoint for no. 15)! Think we both crashed once so you need a very good run to get onto stage 15.

Any way to look behind you? As far as I can see theres no way of seeing how far behind the next car is. The meter at the top doesn't tell you much!

That Milky Way stage is a real killer, so many turns so close together, and narrow too... I struggle not to crash on that one in single player tbh. Given it was 14th of 15 stages, it was inevitable! Great fun through!

EDIT - Bit annoyed at how you can't request to be invited, you have to wait to be invited. The lobby was full when I was invited, so there wasn't much I could do.

I just invited everyone I could and saw who came. Not many as its the first time I've used the PS3 online, or played Outrun multiplayer at home (have in the arcade a few times)

Milky Way has those really dodgy barriers too.

Had a couple of races (before I had to leave) with hoolak and co earlier on, was a right laugh. I somehow managed to win twice, probably due to the catch up being on but it resulted in some really close races. My second victory came right on the last couple of corners as I slid around someone in black Ferrari to sneak the win. Awesome game

Oh and I agree with you guys when you say Milky Way is tough, I don't think I have ever gone through that section without hitting one of those damn barriers!

Yeah, I think it's harder than Jungle or Skyscrapers. I managed to get around it without crashing at least once though to post the score I have on the leaderboard... just the last set of bends are very vicious. Just like Jungle. The tricky part of Skyscrapers is near the start with the set of four bends; I went hell for leather in one online game tonight cos I was behind and took them all full pelt and didn't clip the sides once. Surprised me so much I almost forgot to slow down for the hairpin just afterwards

Had some pretty awful races tonight The game is infected right now with people slamming people off of the road in order to take the lead. Honestly, I think the only good races I've had so far are with people on here.

The only races I've actually reached the end of have been with forum peeps, because of damn quitters =/ Hinders my ability to get the 'Legend' trophy, too.

I feel where you are coming from there. Pretty sad to be honest. I guess it comes with the territory when there is no ranked matches and users aren't getting punished for quitting early.
