Trouble seeing Friend's Achievements?

Not sure where to post this question so hopefully in right place.

Anyways, a mate at work sent me a Friend request on Live the other week but after accepting it, although I can see his Achievement total, I can't see any individual Achievements he has, everything is just 0 out of 1000.

I know he has played SFIV and several other games I have but even these ones are all 0. Any ideas why this is?

There's no problem seeing individual Achievements from any other person on my Friends list.

Perhaps it's the way he has his privacy settings configured?

Yeah he might have made it completely private. I think you can do that, plus friends only, or everyone.
