Does anyone know if XBL will work on a UK university network

got an xbox , XBL, and cvs2 last week...and at the moment...its left at home, but i was wondering...would it work at my halls at uni.

At the mo... my PC is connected to the internet directly into the wall via a ethernet cable...would the xbox work like this????

It totally depends on the University network. A lot block direct access and only provide web proxy servers, so it may not work.

If instead there is some kind of firewall then it might work, depending on how strictly its been configured and exactly what services it provides.

You're just going to have to try it and see.
