Managed to get my character to Level 19 in a day and a half, I think the levelling pace so far is absolutely perfect. From what I hear, Rift experience has dropped since beta but you still get some really decent PvE rewards for participating in them.

Class system is absolutely brilliant. Gone entirely defensive warrior, uber paladin tank!

Should've said really, I'm a high elf on the Guardian's side.

Oh good, I made a human on the Guardian side. Went with melee but not sure i'll stick with it just yet.

I initially started off playing as a Cleric, before realising that absolutely everybody and their mothers had rolled a Cleric for the sole reason that they're the only archetype that can Tank, DPS and Heal at will.

I'm definitely going to be sticking with my Paladin/Warlord/Void Knight warrior. I usually play as a healing class in any MMO but I'm thoroughly enjoying the tanking role in Rift. The only downfall is participating in higher level (20+) rift events and the lack of healers there, so I'll probably be persuaded to pick up the Cleric's staff again if it gets a bit too frustrating.

Participated in two PvE dungeons last night - Realm of the Fae and Iron Tombs. Thoroughly enjoyed them both, but tanking's a bit of a challenge for the time being due to my lack of AoE aggro abilities. I've only got the one and it's got some kind of silly cooldown on it.

IIRC I went with - Reaver / Warlord / Paladin. There is one Reaver move I really enjoy which reduces the enemies chance to hit with melee to 0

Lots of interesting things I didnt know about.

Like:

* When you visit a vendor, there is a small icon at the bottom center of his trade window. The icon looks like a stack of coins, on a small circular button. This will sell all sellables (gray items) in your bags.
