Miiverse > User Menu (top left) > Search Users

When you get any notifications in Miiverse, the green Miiverse icon should let you know on the home screen

as for Kryss you need to add the 101010 to the end like kryss101010, hilight the wii button under his avatar, you lot should add this to your profile too.

Search for user and then add friend request. This one they'll get a notification for.
