Yeah, the villagers crafting at home.
It changes 3 times a day (morning, afto, evening), so there’s three a day.
There’s always one on your beach everyday, makes 4.

Sometimes get one at the mystery islands, and very occasionally in a balloon.

And not forgetting campsite visitors.
I’ve been spamming amiibos to get a new visitor every day.
They’ll ask you to craft something as a memento, and if you don’t already know it, they’ll give you the DIY for it.

The campers don't give you a DIY regardless though. I mean, if you already know the DIY of what they want you are SOL.
