    Banned !!!!! xbox live

Just got the banned screen, I have evox 3935 120 gig drive and have made no changes to the console in the last two days. Was gonna meet up online with a mate who has the same set up as me and he got the same result.

Know I`ve got a good reason to crack out the crystal xbox Cheers M$

That totally sucks. On a new xbox can you just carry on with your live account? Or do you need a new one of those too?

just copy the live data to a memory card and put it on the new box, works fine I`m back on now. If you don`t have a memory card you have to go through the typing with the pad crap again i guess.

thing is I didn`t make any changes to the console in the last 3 days so they must of scanned my hd etc. is that legal ?

they can probably scan the HD (bet M$ put something about this in the small print on the Live subscription) so glad I have a bog standard box now but it is a sod for all those with chipped boxes.

I havent heard of many people at all getting the bannage from having a bigger hard drive, I heard it was just scanning for other more legal stuff..

i've been playing on a chiped box, 120gb on live for the last week and im still ok, the c: on mine aint even clean - i am running evox from F: but i know there is still stuff on the c: that shouldn't be there.

Are you absolutely sure you never went onine with the chip on?
Or was playing a live aware game at some point from the HD whilst connected ?

I'm sorry to hear you've been banned but there's **** loads a people that haven't seen any change since the HD scanning, and like Unlighty said very few that seem to have been banned.

[**strolls off to xboxscene just in case**]

The hard drive scanning code's been there for YONKS. Apparently all it does is create a key for online play.

Ihave a 120 gig HD in mine, and run EvoX from the c:/ drive. I have had no problems so far. I just make sure my router is turned off whenever the chip is on. I may get banned one day, but until then I'm happy with my set up.

Remember, if you use a Live enabled game with the chip on and your BB connected (even if you don't log in) there is a risk that info could be transmitted to MS.

Same here; absolutely no problems at the moment.
