How do I use the 2 month trial?

Normally I would go straight out and but the starter kit, however i'm on this rubbishy adsl which im not sure is going to work, so i might as wel try it for nout and see! its some tiscali one you might have seen on the telly thats only 3 times faster (although when using p2p sowtware i can download at 20-23k/s); but when I read the 2 month trial thing I got with PG2 It dosent give me any information on how to connect, will I have to buy the cables? (I don't have a clue about cables that was just a guess). I dont want to buy the starter kit and throw ?40 away if it runs really slow! It says to put the code in when I select the Live option from in game, my mate has just told me I need a disk for Live ect. If I put my code in here do Microsoft send you a disk or anything? Sorry I must sound stupid, but any help or advice you could give me on how to get started would be great! thanks in advance!

You need a crossover network cable, it will cost you ?1 + 50p for ever meter you need, places like B&Q will nock you one up to any size on request.

then just plug it into your PC, enable ICS through your network cable settings, shove the other end in your XBOX and through the dash sign into live, it will ask you to register, when prompted to type in your serial number put in that of your trial. then your connected, if you like it you need a live kit. this just comes with a head set, 12 month code and some naff demo's.

Or, if you have an external modem, you can just plug your Xbox into it using your existing cables and off you go.

ah, oh dear I don't know if its going to work you see, what do you think it will run like on my connection, its a tiscali ?15.99 a month one, I know its not 10 times faster but is adsl, how do you think it'l run?
