US/JP PS2 games online in UK

Hi,
This question has probably been answered before, but I can't seem to find it anywhere. So I was wondering if anyone could tell me if US and Japanese PS2 games work online using a UK PS2?

I was wondering this again lately re: Resident Evil Outbreak. Because of the server system the JPN verison didn't work over here IIRC, but the US one that's just been released could well do, I suppose.

Any information would be greatly appreciated!

I believe if you have a NTSC-U/C copy of Tribes: Aerial Assult and a chipped PAL PS2 you can play with the yanks, as the game does not utilise DNAS checking.

I dont know if the soon to be released PAL regionalisation of the same game will be Europe only, or allow world-wide play.
