I'll be joining you (PS2 version) by the end of the week - started reading this thread from the beginning and it made me question whether Seraph was the place to be or not.

Have you got a good community going yet, and does it involve people of all different ranks or just a clique who was there at the start?

Becuase we all have loads of jobs at different lvls we can pretty much party at any level, but right now the main core of the group is is between lvl 32-36 with what i would assume for everyone is out main jobs that we'll be taking to at least lvl60, but you don't have to just stay to our linkshell, and always easy to get parties out side the other places and we always help out.

I posted a worldpass in the other (PS2) thread for those interested in seraph. Rargh is become a nice little linkshell, we're not an over-organized event organizing-powergaming LS, but we have loads of fun and we're 99% europeans, which is kinda cool 8)

Also, there are a few players on the PS2 FFXI Thread who will be joining the Linkshell shortly so there should be a group of people there who will be all starting out together and who will be similar levels.

We are not cliquey, we welcome new members on a regular basis so the community is growing at a nice pace

just wanna ask a quick question. Can i cast Blink on other Party members or is it only possible to cast on myself?
i'm an RDM btw.

Try it and you'll see that you can only cast it on yourself.
There are four types of enhancing spells:
Ones you can only cast on yourself (Aquaveil / Blink / Stoneskin etc)
Ones you can cast on someone else (Protect / Shell etc)
Ones you can cast on someone else in your party (Regen / Sneak etc)
Ones you can cast on the whole party (Protectra / Shellra etc)

sometimes you need to experiment to see which type it is.

well first it would be great if you visit this website.

this will give you some hints and some theories on gardening. plus the website has some very good recipe on how to make Tree Saplings(15k in AH each, 200k per stack) and a Fire Ore(around 200k in AH each). look at the Cutling, Stems and Saplings link.

if you wanna try to grow the fire ore. do it this way:

• try to plant the sapling on firesday at full moon during the time of 0:00 to 11:55.

• on feeding(acts as a fertilizer) the plant, do it on firesday with a fire crystal, on full moon as well. you have to do this twice during the lifetime of the plant.

• upon harvesting, do it on firesday after 12:00, and during the full moon as well

• keep checking your plant even if you are in jeuno. checking it twice a day will suffice

• the more similar plants you planted, the more chance of getting a good harvest

please note that the recipes not fully guarantee of getting the desired harvest. the combinations can also yield other harvest, but following the recipes and the tips above will get your chances of harvesting your desired item even higher. it is important that you plant more of the same plant AT THE SAME TIME. this will increase the probability of getting your desired harvest.

finally, get those Gardening mog enhancements listed in the website. and put all your pots in the table or workbench. not on the floor. in theory this will also increase the likelihood of getting good harvest.


please do not ask me about how did i grow dark ore. i cant tell you yet as i dont even know how i did it. it was pure luck. but once i managed to grow them again(this time i will be taking notes) then i will definitely share. one thing i asked of you peps is that keep it to yourself what we discuss here, we wouldnt want the whole of seraph to know how to grow dark ore, would you? even the japanese are keeping it to themselves so keep it to yourself as well. for now

Just reading through the update history for what's added today. Seems there are new BCNM battles for level 20 and 30 people ^^

Also, the ability to download the patch seems to be available now for anyone wanting to use the downtime effectively.

Oh and Subtle Blow IS a job trait that reduces the amount of TP an enemy gains when MNK or NIN classes hit them. Looks like kickass Ninja blink tanks remain
