a 5th joins and suggests we go to bibiki bay instead of onzozo, at which point the leader throws a wobbly and says "right you have leader and I'll disband" and does exactly that, so the party disintegrates.

My latest wee gripe... I met this person (Hoots) again, in somebody elses party. When I joined and saw the name I said something to the effect of not being impressed, to which Hoots responded that he was waiting for a comment like that. Party went well until Hoots gained a level, then he brought it all back to the fore when I failed to say "congratulations".. something like "Darwock still doesn't like me because of the other day". I pointed out he had very nearly been blacklisted and the reply was "I love it when people can't think outside the box, thanks for making me laugh" followed by "it's only a game, real life is more important honeybun". I pointed out that it was our 'real life' time he had wasted, blacklisted him for being a patronising cock and left the party. Another Alan Partridge moment.

edit - Wedge, yes I would like to beat that Assault tonight but can we do it before 9pm? I was ready for it last night but we didn't go, and tonight there's stuff on TV I can't miss (starting at 9)

Hoots is somewhat odd, she has a pearl for Rargh as well. I'm pretty certain she's female but I think she's pretty young.

OK, well Excavation Duty with 3 people wasn't any easier, in fact it was harder - we got through exactly as many walls as our best attempt with 6 and there were still some left. The first wall took a lot longer to break down.

I wonder if maybe Mijin Gakure would do more significant damage? It's an explosion after all!

Had a great last 2 days on FF.

Hit lvl 50, Got my Mog locker, Completed G1, Got Drk AF2 with the help of Darwock and Rare (Thank you), finished 5-1, and also manged to get 2 staging points ready for assault, again thanks to Darwock taking the hits off the about 10 imps in the way of the door.

Sadley Darwock died in front of the door, but i then raised him and we both got the staging point! (Arrapago Reef) I then had to log, but im hoping for some Assault action tomorrow.

How did assault go for you guys tonite?

Next things to do on my list are...

obtain an Olduum Ring.

I'm missing out here although I really must get my life sorted out.

I've even got 5 other real life mates sorted out with Live! and the game now - just holding off before we all start at lvl.1. We may even wait until the winter comes around as I don't fancy getting addicted to this during the summer.

It should take us no time whatsoever to get up to our AF1s. When is another question.

The assault was another failure, but I'm happy just to get 100 more points in the bank. I need another xp party in Bhaflau Thickets though so I can get some imperial standing points, I'm just not getting any. I'm thinking if we ever manage another attempt at lebros caverns with a full 6, we should probably split into groups of 3 and take on two qiqirn mobs at a time in hope of getting a mine. The mob strengths didn't seem to be adjusted for 3 of us and we coped alright with the fight, so it would cut down on time spent hunting the next one.

Had another cracking day today,

Cleared 5-2 just gotta bob back to Bastok to attain rank6
Obtained my Olduum Ring
Cleared TAoU from 3-6.

Gonna try and get back on tonite for 6-8 TAoU and some Assault and XP.

On the other hand, id lost abit of the feel good feeling with this game... but after 5-2 it brought it all back.

Story is excellent, this mission was soooo cool. Loved every min of it. Just makes me want to do more missions!!!! If anyone ever needs help with 5-2 im in!!!!

After I did 5-2 I sort of made a promise to myself never to do it again, it was just too good the first time - I didn't want it to go the way of the 2-3 dragon fight and become a matter of routine.

Last night it was my MP that was under assault, a mental party in Onzozo that was constantly pulling the next torama before the first was killed, 2 skillchains per fight and I was bursting with stonega III.. no refresher either, so I was basically just trying to get shock/burn on and then bursting, resting, standing up to burst again, resting, next mob arrives repeat until exhausted. There wasn't much care taken in general as we got a couple of extra goblins, but it was just a case of sleepga and battle on - I didn't take a note of the time but I made 10K experience (got 64 and a buffer) and still logged off for an early night, so I reckon it must have been 60-90 minutes tops.

Had a similar experience last night in Qufim Darwock. After of late only finding crap parties that consisted of the new jobs finally got a proper one. Levelled from 20-24 and hopefullt konight should hit 25 and leave for the Jungle. Another huge plus was my daimond shield sold giving me enough gil to make 40 without having to stop to farm as long as I skip getting o-kote. This being said the h-kote look far more appealing, we should go kill baroka and split the gil from some of these. Going to look into finding a ToD for him in the near future.

Ok now comes the fun part, I've reached 24 on NIN using a max evasion set up. Now I can wear the pin again I think its time to drop some evasion in favour of attack and STR. More will be dropped when I add in dodge earrings at 29 so the question is what would you chaps recommend?

Well, it's been a while since I posted in this thread.

Despite my intentions, I didn't quite make it to level 30 last night. I'm currently 2.4k short of that.

It was a fun evening though, as the party I joined worked well together, once we got started, and stopped pulling in Gobs by mistake.

It disbanded sometime just after midnight, I think, and I contacted Darwock, requesting a favour (warp II back to Kazham ). He agreed to help, but I got another party invite, even though I wasn't searching, not long before he reached Kazham.

I apologised for dragging him out there as I joined the party, but he said not to worry as he had to talk to an NPC there (thanks for that buddy 8) ).

Sadly, this party didn't last long, as two members left after one fight, and the leader then disbanded it.

I didn't want to pester Darwock again, so I decided to gamble, and see if I could make it back to Kazham on foot, from Yhoator Jungle, using Camouflage to sneak past any Goblins. This worked well in theory, except for the 5 minute recharge time between uses of Camouflage.

I actually made it back to Yuntunga Jungle, and was somewhere near to the SE of the Kazham zone point, when I realised that I had no idea how to get there from my current position, and Camouflage failed infront of two Goblins, so I think it's obvious what happened next. ft:

Anyway, it was fun, to an extent, to try and find my way back like that, using nothing but my RNG skills to aid me, as the maps for the Elshimo areas are, imo, of no use for finding your way. They are good for helping you see where your party members are in relation to you, like all maps, but that's all.


So, not long to level 30 now, when I can start wearing some semi uber gear (mainly Noct+1 armour), and hopefully, for a change, look cool.

Just heard the news that the Allakhazam network is now owned by the same parent company that owns IGE (gil selling company).

Not that I found the site massively compelling but rest assured my visist there will from now on total zero.

They have always been 2 sides of the same coin anyway if you ask me, both provide a means of playing the game without actually having to play the game. Whether it be getting your gil by buying it or obtaining items by following walkthroughs. Personal opinion obviously.

I've used AK on occasion to find out if a specific rare/ex item I've obtained is a quest item or not, and where the quest can be gained, but that's all.

For game advice/serious help, I tend to pester the LS, as I'm sure you're all aware.
