    Thats what happened with my first diabolos fight on Saturday, he must have been at 5% hp max and we just couldn't shift it. I only had enough mp left for thunder III and it didn't make a scratch ;_;

    I thought that after fenrir, diabolos wouldn't be THAT much of a threat...

      Last night was awesome not our finest organisation ever but a win on what turned out to be a suprisingly tough BC. With that done though we are now 2/3 of the way thorugh 5-3 with the Louverance path now in front of us. Did the first cut this morning and changed the lsmes for Wednesday...

      ...can we all sort out all the CSes in time for a 20:30 on Wednesday. The next BC (50 cap) is going to be a toughie I think.

      We're looking at 5 mobs - 4 moblins + 1 bugbear and to make life fun they're unsleepable

      The Bugbear - Bugbby (WAR/MNK) and uses Mighty Strikes
      Moblin - Chekochuk (BLM)
      Moblin - Movamuq (WHM)
      Moblin - Swipostik (THF)
      Moblin - Trikotrak (RDM)

      Suggest we go WHM > BLM > RDM > THF > WAR

      Other than that I can't find much out about it, debuffs stick so we'll need to keep the mages silenced. Its going to be hardwork but I think the answer as always is to load the damage up front to get mobs down fast. I'd suggest we go back to WHM over SMN for this one unelss we think we can agro control AF which I doubt.

      Tactics I thik will be buff as normal, Mosley, Darwock and Talizker take one mage each to silence. I'll do the usual run in agro everything and invincible, suggest then that tobal 2 hours the WHM to get it out of there and hopefully have some still in the tank for BLM. As soon as tobals 2 hour is over all us melee pop icaus wings and WS whichever mob we're on. My hope by this point is we should be down to 2 or 3 mobs left and we just work as normal from there.

        I think its 60cap fight(most of the guides point to that), I think we should for this have Wedge kite the Bugbear while everyone else takes on the moblins, I would say Blm, Whm, rdm, thf. Tali would take on silence duties for the blm and whm, I provoke the rdm to keep it on me and we all target the blm for a quick kill.

        So

        Tsing, goes in provoke the blm, astral flow follows, then invincible, wedge stays on the bugbear to get hate back and kite it around, I 2hr to finish of the blm, then we work through the line till its time for astral number 2.

          Does sound like a plan but I'm a little worried about the blind reliance on invincible once again. There's something we're missing because it didn't work as a hate grab for the mithra trackers. If we had 100% nailed down hate on all mobs I could take advantage of the unsleepability and use some -ga spells (poisonga at least). That would just be a bonus anyway, but if they are running around attacking whoever we won't last long.

          Also I don't fancy leaving the whm for second as it could probably pull a benediction on us.

          Also yes I think we should take WHM over SMN because if Tsing *is* going to have 5 mobs (including a bugbear!) attacking him then we're going to need some good healing for when invincible wears off.

          Just a thought - are there any AoE sword weapon skills? It might be worth chucking one of those in before the invincible to make sure all the mobs have registered some enmity on the paladin already?

          Jesus, 5th edit in a row - something else to worry about is the tendency of moblin mages to actually stand well clear of the action and just nuke.. I'm thinking of the go go gobmuffin quest and what I understand of the bowyer ring. If they do that in this case how will it affect the plan?

            The moblins are weak, I could solo tank one, tali could with a nin sub, mosely could on smn and wedge and tsing certainly can. That would leave our blm to mess around, debuff and selecting targets. Also from the guide I?ve read they don?t have 2hr moves apart from the Bugbear.

            We could try to do this without 2hr moves, as practice for the mammets where we?ll have fight 5 mobs at once without using 2hrs or a lot of meds and fast as well.

                  Will get the CS's done tonight (can finally get the Attohwa Map Quest sorted also!). The only observation to the above plan(s!) is that Gravity would seem to be very effective to handle the Bugbear if the following is anything to go by.


                  It is recommended (and makes this BC ungodly horrifically easy) to Gravity the Bugbear and have whoever has hate from him Kite it. With a GIMPED /rdm sub(25), Gravity stuck 100% of the time.

                      I don?t know what guides your reading tsing but of the 4 I?ve read they all say its 60cap and none of the goblins have 2hrs, none of them.

                              Once the spawn conditions on this NM gets out don?t expect to be able to get anywhere near the Scrawled Writing for a while. Competition for the pop will likely be fierce especially as it will likely have a 12-16 minute repop timer before you can trade again.

                              I hope S-E were clever and made at least one of the items needed (either to spawn directly, or involved in synthing the trigger) are needed from the Movalpolos regional vendor. Can?t remember the last time it was under a region?s control (I know early CoP days it was controlled by San d?Oria at least once but can?t recall anything in the last twelve months).
