The game spoke to me this weekend and it was telling me to “level MNK”.
On Friday evening myself, Moot and Vanicent headed for the Royal Jelly BCNM40 so after a Teleport-Dem we hop on chocobos. On the way we spy Rampaging Ram so off I hop, easy kill and obtained a Rampaging Horn. We then complete the 3 BCNMs, score an Archer’s Ring, netting us an easy 230k each.
Me and Moot move on to Tu’Lia to meet up with Daragon, Reploid, Wedgemoon and Yoriko to battle the Ark Angels. Ark Angel HM is our first target and poses no threat, with his Mijin Gakure being nicely resisted by all.
We move onto Ark Angel EV who posed a greater challenge. A combination of annoying 2 hours and Spirit’s Within means we have to attempt a second time, and even our win involved wiping and reraising. The EV isn’t too difficult to start off with as we tended to get her HP down sufficiently so that by the time she had TP for Spirits Within, it was manageable. However, when she used Benediction, we generally didn’t have enough time to damage her before the next Spirits leading to damage up to, and over, 3k. Our win involved surviving the Invincible and Benediction, wiping, reraising and full heal then finishing her off when she had no 2 hours. A great fight.
Ark Angel TT next and another simple fight, with only his teleportation trick to worry about.
We move onto Ark Angel MR with Daragon prepped to (against his strongest urges) sleep me should I get charmed. All goes well but we forgot about the AOE TP move she has that sleeps and mages got a little close. I get charmed and proceed to mow my way through the slept party. A quick regroup and ensuring mages are out of AOE range makes the second attempt go flawlessly. With only the Ark Angel GK left we are pretty confident. We do win, but I underestimated him and died to the 2 hour. Got hit with 1 weapon skill, silencing me, then as I fumble with my Echo Drops, eat another to finish me off. Moot lays in with the Blue Magic, relying on Utsusemi to absorb the attacks, and combined with Dara’s nukes, they finish him off.
Mission complete!
Saturday morning I spy the first Hawker’s Knife +1 on the Auction House in a week, so with the previous night’s gil due to me, I spend almost all of my gil and grab it.
I camped La Theine Plateau for Lumbering Lambert to finish off the quest. Pops after about an hour and an easy kill. Trade my Lumbering Horn and Rampaging Horn in and receive:
“Level MNK”
Same 6 as the previous night head up to Tu’Lia again, this time to finish off Eald’Narche and put a stop to his crazy Zilart plans. A much harder fight than anticipated if I’m honest, and took us 3 attempts. Eventual win was a great battle as defeating the Exoplates took a lot out of us, and we had little time to recover before Eald’Narche came out and we scrambled into action but scraped the win.
Rise of the Zilart completed!
Oh, I also attended a crappy Dynamis-San d’Oria on Saturday evening which had the dubious honour of being the first run I’ve seen where not a single piece of relic armour dropped.
Sunday morning, had a great party with Wynth and Flynne on my RNG in Yuhtunga Jungle taking my RNG from 26 to 28 in super quick time. Now rocking a Pirate’s Gun +1 and dual Archer’s Knifes so ranged accuracy issues seem to have been swept away. Just 1k EXP away 29 now so it’s really important that I get the Bowyer Ring quested this week.
Finally, my sky shell did it’s second week of Bomb Queens. Incredibly easy fights (just zerged it with no danger whatsoever). I still haven’t gotten around to sorting my own set of triggers for this yet, but on Moot’s run the following item dropped and he very kindly let me have:

Oh, just before I boarded the airship to Kazham for RNG leveling I saw a bazaar containing Ancient Beastcoins for 12.8k each. Seemed a decent price so I purchased the last 12 I needed and traded them all in for:
Got a seriously good merit party build going on now. Not had chance to test it out properly but I did use it for Bomb Queen and with Haste+20%, 2 Enhances “Dual Wield” effect and the Enhances “Double Attack” effect it was a wonderous sight. Also, I had 2 occasions where I had double attack process on 3 Blade: Jins in a row so the effect seems nice and noticeable. Definitely need to merit this week.Comment

Apart from doing the Zilart mission's with you all on Friday & Saturday the rest of my time was spent crafting. I need to find the motivation to do a bit of farming funds are starting to get low.

Following the (demise? of) LS Salvage and doing a couple of Nyzul Isle runs a month or so back, I was wondering what the status of these events is now. Is either continuing withing the LS?Comment

currently doing nyzul isle every wednesday, to be honest i wouldn't mind returning to salvage on different day with at least 6man party, i know tsing(maybe) and dj(certainly) expressed feeling of disappointment about not doing it anymore recently.Comment
