[edit] ppl already knew about wangan...

He did Namco X Capcom i recall, and More recently he's doing the music for Castlevania: Portrait of Ruin

Does anyone else actually appreciate his work in SOR3? Because it's a bit crazy, and a step away from the more melodic stuff in the first two it does seem to have it's detractors, but from a technical FM synth standpoint, it's actually pretty sophisticated, and it's got to be one of the most experimental megadrive soundtracks created. If anything else just love the sheer lunacy of it all

When I first played SOR 3 back in the day I hated the music, but then I found years later that it had stuck in my head far more that SOR 2's. So yeah, I do quite like it now.

Yep I loved the music in SOR3 - It was a bit wacked out but that was part of the charm.

        2 > 3 > 1 (except the intro theme)

SoR3 soundtrack is pretty good, it needs to grow on ya just like the SFZ3 sounds.

Another underrated soundtrack is the one from Clockworks' Adventures of Batman and Robin on the MD.
If you keep on listening to the title screen music, it has alot of different strings. It doesn't really repeat but goes on and it sounds pretty leet... or actually simply brilliant.

Ahh, Jesper Kyd. He was excellent at getting unique sounds out of the MD, his sound tracks are like nothing else on the system. Red Zone's music sounds like something an improved C64 could have made, pretty cool. I like the way most of his tracks go on for ages too, most MD composers including Koshiro only wrote short tunes.

Technically I think he pushed the MD's sound chip further than anyone else, even Koshiro and the other Japanese composers. That said, the actual composition of the music is a bit of an aquired taste.

For Namco X Capcom, I believe he only composed the opening theme.

I thought that was just a rumour - has it been confirmed?

Wasent yuzo's sister a character designer for actraiser ?

Streets of rage 2 my two fav tunes were the base ball stadium (which sounds very similar to the shamens-move any mountain) and shiva's tune

By the way it seems Ancient also did some Saturn game called Vatlva. the Vatlva movie sounds like Yuzo's style too.

Vatlva was a joint effort with Victor (JVC) Not a bad game really but I think the music is poor. I did think it was quite good 10 years or so ago but now.....
