Great ono PAL PS1 games

what really really good Ps1 games were there that never got a PAL release?

what about games that are rare as **** here but common as muck in the US? or japan if theres no language barrier?

Some role-playing games didn't get a PAL release. Dragon Warrior, Valkyrie Profile and Chrono Cross to name a few. Maybe only one of those is a must but there you go (have a guess which). Some shooters too, like Harmful Park. I dunno about rare games here, most have been mass-produced except some of the later titles. Like the new FIFA game, which, in ten years time, will probably be "rare as ****"

I'm sure Xenogears is another Square game that never got a PAL release.

I don't think any Twisted Metal games appeared after TM2 on PAL either, while in the US there was about 3 other titles. Same with Armored Core, I know that Master of Arena was never released on PAL, iirc.

The latest issue of GamesTM suggested ?20 as a guide price for Harmful Park - is this accurate? I'd always believed it was a bit harder to come by than that.

Yeah, you'd be very lucky to get it for under ?50.

They also have Super Pang Collection ?5-?10, i'll have 7 copies please at that price.

This is one of those games that goes for say ?50 on a well known auction site...and then suddenly everyone wants to sell a copy and most are lucky to hit ?30. IMO ?20 is about right.

As you may be able to make out a lot of good RPG's were released in America but not over here. There's at least 20 I'd regard as being worth getting hold of.

As regards games that are expenisve on PAL but cheap elsewhere the PAL version of Castlevania SoTN sells for ridiculous amounts while both the US and JAP versions are still available new for around the ?10 mark.

Well when i was gonna buy a ps1 i was mainly gonna buy it for the shooters and the rpgs one game i couldn't find anywhere to buy which was Gaia Seed a shooter, i dunno if any of your guys own it but that was one of my first games i would of purchased.

Back on topic... Raiden DX is one of the best shooters ever made and well worth picking up on Japanese. ^_^

Toukon Retsuden 3 was a really playable wrestling game, Einhander and Harmful Park were great as already noted.

The original Armored Core is still very good, but Master of Arena is the best of the PSone Armored Core games.
