What is your most memorable gaming moment?

Mine would have to be Shadowrun on the Super Nes. When you go to the doctor to get the Cortex Bomb removed from your head, but he accidentally activates it, then wants 3000 Nuyen to disable it.

In Panzer Dragoon saga when (i cant believe i forget the names) the girl on her dragoon literally smashes into reality to fight you, as if it were a pain of glass........near Uru I think. Whatever, I liked that. A lot

All of Mansion of the Hidden Souls, especially ****ing up in th etop left room, filling up with plant reeds.

Seeing that the SNES is my favourite console, it was responsible for most of my favourite gaming moments.

        Contra3

This game is packed with unforgetable moments. From the opening bomber plane to this giant Robot that rips open the background; a truely spectacular game.

When this giant fiery boss rose from the lava, I was in awe; without doubt a scene I would never forget.

I will try and think of some more cherished moments.

Seeing Mr Do! in action on a home computer - it will always be my most memorable, along with Space Invaders, as they were the games that took my gaming viginity

Being six years old, sat watching my dad kill the AT-ATs in Empire Strikes Back on the Atari 2600. I had tried to kill the damn things, oh how I had tried but I couldn't I looked on in awe as my dad destroyed the Empire ^___^

Final Fantasy 7 -- Aeris's death. As tokyochojin said, it's magical. Especially when the boss fight is done with Aeris's theme (best piece of music in the whole game) playing in the background... Ghost, I nearly cried.

I then proceeded to spend the rest of the game bitching about why they were too dumb to use a friggin' phoenix down -- that I had picked Aeris as my primary spellcaster and spent some time leveling her up didn't help much.

The first time you switch on any console is special, but for me it was the unbelievable lather my friends and I got worked up into the first time we saw the huge review of Super Mario World in Mean Machines, just as the SNES was about to see its release. The price was so good, the game looked amazing and had the best review and it was all we could do to save like loons to get one.

End of ramble, but for me it was turning it on for the first time and hearing the *ding* of SMW and playing through almost non-stop.

Double Dragon in the arcade for the first time sticks in my mind, the first time I ever saw/heard it was across a busy arcade as a loud *clang* shot out when someone kicked a knife out of the air.

Coming out of an intense firefight with three Combine soldiers in a railway tunnel, only to turn round and see a train about 6 foot from my face, which I narrowly avoided - my heart was pumping so fast

The intro, and 1st level to Panzer Dragoon. Nothing will ever top that

Very close to that would be the ending to SAGA, and the 1st time I played heard Lunar sing on the Mega CD.

1 last one would be seeing the moon rise in Revenge Of Shinobi, with that awesome music score. And the sound effect on the Fire magic.

Beating arcade Strider when I were but a stripling...

I was obsessed with it; it was synonymous with everything that was exotic and magical about games for me... if you were in Southend in 1989 and ever went into Mr. B's or Electric Avenue you'd find me camped out on the Strider cab... I lived there. And Bad Dudes.

It was during the summer of '96 when playing import Mario 64 on acid.

The game was a revelation, nothing before had ever looked as good or played as well, and to top it off my friend and I were tripping off our faces.

It was completely engrossing, I don't think I've ever oohhed and aahhed as much. We spent hours just exploring the pirate ship level. It was truly special.
