Yes I wasted many an hour back in my early teens playing Tetris on the original GB! The link-up mode was particularily good especially when you got a four liner!
I think Tetris along with Advance Wars (and Zelda : The Minish Cap currently) have been in my GB slots for long periods of times over the years.

I once got to about 900 and thats not a lie, i'll dig out the copy later but its worth mentioning that this was Tetris DX which seems to be a lot easier after level 30+ than the original. Mind you it could be bollox but i remember being on it for hours totally in the zone competing against my mother (odd i know) for the title. I'm sure i whipped her in the end.

I managed 154 lines on the original Gameboy Tetris. I was very pleased with that. After 130 lines things are just too fast for me.
Ever seen those vids of the guys playing the modern versions in the arcade. Some of those brers are insane. Blocks coming down at maximum speed and they can still recover when they **** up. I have to get everything perfect at that point or I'm a gonner.

I've got 4978 lines on Tetris DX!!!
Once you play everyday you realise that it's really frustrating when you can't beat the 1k checkpoint when I normally play. I take a breather as you can save when I reach 1k, 2k, 3k and so on...
For all you Tetris Freaks try level 15 on Tetris Worlds on the GBA that's a nice challenge or try Tetris Grand master in mame for intensity especially the BIG mode!
