Is this retro? I guess kind of, the book is at least

The book has loads of ace stuff in it such as 19XX, 1941, 1943 and a whole bunch of PS1/Saturn/Dreamcast era cover art without all the logos and junk that normally cover them. Hopefully I'll get to scan some of them soon.

Got Dracula X and (US) SotN this week - to make up for the fact that I had to part with my beloved PAL SotN a few weeks ago (got ?90 for it which softened the blow slightly).

Love the artwork in the Capcom book Tychom.

Got two more delivered today, very pleased with these as I got them on Ebay UK, both are very mint. Got them at silly prices as well.

Pu.Li.Ru.La Arcade Gears (complete with reg card, manual, arcade gears booklet, spine) ?4.99 normally it's around the ?26.00 mark on eBay for a complete game.

From the same seller I also got Kingdom Grandprix for ?8.50, normally between ?22.00-?26.00 on eBay. The auction listing showed just the game and didn't mention a spinecard, I open up the manual to find a mint spinecard and reg card, happy days.

90 quid! Woah. Was that just luck, or is that the kind of sum it's commanding these days?

Strangely enough I felt the same after playing the PAL version on the Saturn, so I stuck on the PC version to remind me how DOOM should play!

Just when you have to start savings money these three little gems come along!
At long last I've track down a copy of the PAL version of Super Adventure Island a rather rare game, I would have preferred the second game as it the better of the two, but it's quite a find never the less.

I just love Susumu Matsu****a cover art for it and I was surprised to find that Yozo Koshiro also did the music for the game. Always had a soft spot for the Adventure Island series. Kind of funny how that despite me owning a SNES for 12 years, the first Adventure Island game I got was the part 2 on the NES which I've had for about 2 months!!

Also got a copy of Joe & Mac Caveman Ninja, which I was surprised to find isn't just a straight arcade port, I was hoping for. Instead they changed a couple of the levels over, added a map screen and stuck in some bonus round and hidden stage.

Last but not least a copy of another hard to find game Troddlers, which is missing the manual. But some games are so hard too find you have to take them as you find them. I had the demo on the Amiga and really enjoy playing it and it ended up a one of those games you want to get but never do.

Enjoyable Lemmings style clone, which you can play two player, as me and my brother where doing last night, I'll have to try it with the mouse some time.

It would appear so. I took some ****-hot photos of it to ensure the buyer was aware of just how 'minty-fresh' it was, so that probably helped. Someone wrote into Retrogamer this month and said they sold a copy on ebay for ?127, so about ?100 for a complete and mint LE PAL copy seems to be the going rate.

Thing is, I got the Japanese and US versions for ?12 all in. So it was a no-brainer really.

That's one of my favourite SNES games. Great music and atmosphere for a puzzle game as well.

I'm missing Twinkle Star Sprites and Shikigami. Which one are you missing - Rainbow Cotton? I've got Baldr Force Exe, but it's not a proper shmup, I think.

tbh the arcade gears games on the saturn arnt that expensive, the only 1 thats quite pricey is image fight and x multiply, but 3 wonders and pulirula are the cheapest out of the 4 of them

you did get it cheap but its not worth ?26

even kingdom Grand prix goes for about ?14 - ?17 here, if that

i've got all the shooters Kubrick listed, nice to see a list and good to know there isnt any other games i need to try and find

Rxmdx also has one without spine for ?21.54.

I do agree after playing it that it's not worth ?26.00, but it seems to be what it's listed as. Why? I dont know.

Still, I'm happy to saved a bit of cash.

maybe i should tell them, no reason to get all

                            **censored**

and palet_th has a cheaper copy

but as i stated before that was a good price

personally the game works was a steal as was the zero 3

my copy cost me about ?11 if i remember rightly and image fight was the most expensive

never quote saturn-box when you are using prices as his prices are a complete rip off

rxmdx whilst a great seller can be over priced as well - at times

but to compound your arguement you stated that it usual goes for ?26 but none of those have actually sold

                            but...................

                            1 sold for ?4.99

didnt sell for ?13.46 from a great seller and relisted 3 times

anime camp is also expensive - saturn star

anyway never use ebay prices as a guide as its crap (or saturn box), been collecting saturn stuff for over a year so it was an educated estimate but our esteemed collegues in Japan are at a better position to price it

i'm downloading lost right now so it took my bandwidth ages to do this - hope you appreciate it

Ah, to say it's not worth ?25 is a bit of a stretch, if we're talking about market value rather than gameplay value. It's been a ?20 - ?30 game for as long as I can recall, aside from the odd blip either side.

Mind you, it's never really a good idea to take your price guidance from saturn-box's prices ... take this for instance:

On the other hand, rxmdx is generally pretty good.

hehe ... I thought I had seen the limit of the Megadrive "Virtual Bart" madness ... until now:

What a complete lunatic! Even if it were the Japanese version, which is the only one that is actually rare, you wouldn't get ?30 for it in that condition!

Then again, I wouldn't have guessed that any sane person would have paid this for a WWF Raw, cart only:
