Then bish, bash, bosh, lovely RGB retro loveliness on the nicest CRT ever! Not sure the pic does it justice, absolutely superb.

Does this connect up to the joypad's ports aswell?

You would have to hack a couple of pads.

And if anyone fancies doing one for me.....................

The music from the first level of that used to be the theme song of the podcast I co-host Sadly we decided not to use it anymore as we found out Squeenix own it now

I can. Just have to tell me if you wanted it directly into the MD, or into the adaptor thing. Makes more sense to MD really.

And how long a cable you'd need etc.

Now that i think about it, the viletim doofer comes with all the terminals for controller connections, is it just a case of using the multicore cable from the pad straight in to them?

Well, controls can be transferred via the jamma edge so yes I assume so. Therefore you'd just need a pad with wire coming out to screw down I assume, then plug that into MD.

Hellfire was one of my faves back in the day, excellent game, wish I still had it.

Been wanting to get this one, but they're really pushing it now. 175 dollars for a box in somewhat decent, and a manual in ghastly condition. It's not even THAT rare, they pop up on eBay quite regularly, but to find a complete one in good condition seems to have become mission impossible now. Too bad, since I really wanna get my hands on it to do a review on the series at my YT channel.

Pity about that .I would have thought it would have had some kind of cable that connects to that jamma pcb then plugs into the console.

It's should be easy to make ,as the md's 3 button pad has it's controls multiplexed using a 74157 ic, and all are held high by a bunch of high value resistors .All that needs doing is de multiplexing the signals to something that the jamma (simple on/off signal) joystick controls understand.

Sorry that's wrong,i'm thinking of using md pads and those being connected to a jamma loom to play jamma games. To plug the cabs joysticks into the md's joypad port (this will only work with 3 button games)i THINK it just needs a cable from that pcb box thing and a simple circuit design which mimmicks the md pads circuitry .Then a db9 (female)is attached to that circuit and plugs into the console.

                    1 x 74157 ic which is basically a 4 spdt
                    8 x 5/10k ohm pull up resistors
Put it in a little project box to make it look smart and you're away.Infact ,when my new jp md arrives ,i'm going to build one to see for sure that it works.

Or just hack a few cheap pads

Loving those Japanese Mega Drive boxes, great artwork.

Here's my recent purchases. The (relatively) expensive but interesting:

Dreamcast Phantasy Star Online Network Trial Edition and a PSO braded 4X Memory Card.

The cheap and not so interesting:

                          2x G-Con 2's
                          Endgame
                          Ninja Assault
                          Virtua Cop Elite Edition

                          Ghost in the Shell PS1

Nice, Phantasy Star Online was so amazing I hope they can re-capture that magic...doubt it.

Received a wee present from neil2k today, as he was feeling guilty about ebaying some stuff I'd sold him for profit. I think we should make this a new rule, if you make money from other members, you need to buy them nice minty games as way of an apology.

I remember playing OutRunners multi linked in the arcades, it was great-is the MD version any good?
