I got in total, ?7 for Brave fencer musashi, vagrant story, Chocobo racing, soul blade, final fantasy anthology, blazing dragons, incredible hulk pantheon saga, breath of fire 3 and covert ops nuclear Dawn... I remember every game on the list like yesterday... Absolutely killed me giving them away for a pittance...

I simply couldn't part with parasite eve and xenogears though... I lugged them round in a backpack for a long time, but I've still got them to this day!! Spent most of my adult life trying to get them back haha! Nearly there though!
Goes to show two sides of a coin. When I moved back home to my parents house, I started to unpack and all of my rare games including Xeno, Parasite, Chrono Trigger/Cross, Secret of Mana and so on and none were there. I panicked like mad and realised I had left the rucksack full of them somewhere, maybe at the house.
Quickly scarpered back, around 45 mins later and the rucksack was on the pavement outside the house!!

Goes to show where the luck sometimes rolls. Glad you have some of the games you wanted back.

Chocobo racing, breath of fire 3, covert ops and blazing dragons left... Let's just say I got sidetracked on other games along the way!!

That's what gaming is to me though, not just the sit down and playing, but the boxes, the cut outs, the manuals, the flyers inside, the cover art, the smells, the feel... It's like reliving my childhood, every time I look at them I feel like I'm home again... Some people just don't get it, but they mean the world to me!

          Nice. I'm feeling that.

Yeah I can feel that too. I enjoy having games even when I am in a gaming lull like I am at the moment I know it will come back again and I will regret if I sell my fav titles.

Sounds sad, but during some of the worst times in my life, especially as a child, gaming has kept me sane. Being able to retreat into a world and just for that while ignoring the crap stuff going on has really given me a haven at times. Probably why I love the PS1 era Squaresoft games so much, such rich worlds, with great stories, especially when I could relate to the themes... They really mean alot to me.

It isn't sad at all. People all have things like that to help them through difficult times. For some it is a movie, for others it is a game or a song. It is pretty normal behavior for so many. The PS1 Square era was pretty big for me, I split up with my first true love during the first wave of their games and they did wonders to keep me happy.

I had a massive PS1 collection back in the day, got burgled and lost the lot, haven't collected for it since.

PS1 is my finest gaming memories. I've only explored PAL stuff lots though. Gonna be getting stuck in with JP stuff soon enough.

I agree, also with music. I like looking at the artwork to an album or single I liked when I was younger. Just buying an MP3 doesn't really do the same thing. With digital distribution taking off I wonder where it will all end.

Some stunning new stuff there guys.

Loving the SNES pick ups they look immaculate.

I'm definitely about to get my SNES modded now.

Feel the need to grab at least a few of my old faves back I think

Seeing as there are a few tales on PSOne woe in this thread, I have never got to play Galerians or Parasite Eve 2, despite buying them both. One I left in a phone box (err hello?!), and another on a ledge by a cash point. Great.

It's amazing (but good news) how we've went from a total lack of modders to now having a team of them!
