Oh lord, that is the exact version I got as a kid, ?30 in Toys R Us by the time I got it iirc.

I still remember hooking it up for the first time and running next door to get Matty to come round so we could play two player Mario 3.

      Good times.

My A1200 is still in a box under my bed. It's had some work done to it over the years though. Has 4 whole megs of extra memory, and a whopping 20 megs of hard drive space.

Ah, 20 MB was the size of the HDD on my very first PC, which I got around 1990. It was more than enough for MS-DOS 3.3, XTree Gold and, of course, games!

I really need to get a souped up Amiga 1200 like yours. I still have an Amiga 500 but diskettes are just too cumbersome.

Not much for me recently. Haven't quite finished my CMVS, but have now made a new pad to try with it (will relabel the buttons so they match the same layout as a Neo pad if I ever get around to it), and a couple of random games, actually walked into a shop and bought JSR, how retro is that!

Jet Set Radio brings back great memories for me. Absolutely loved that game when it came out. I have Future but have never really played it much. Might have to try it out properly.

That was my first ever console. Hunted high and low for that Turtles pack that Christmas, had numerous offers of the Master System other another NES packs but I wanted that Turtles pack!!

Unfortunately mine has long gone the way of the dodo.

                Great stuff

Nice Turtles NES there, still looks in solid condition.

                  Here are my latest bits.

What's Michigan: Report from Hell like? It looks intriguing but I've read it's a bit rubbish.

Well I have only had one go and it is quite good. Very different, more like an old FMV game. Each scene plays out and you can intervene at any time to help the reporter. You also build clues for plot reasons. You get rated at the end of each level in terms of behaviour, moral, immoral and erotic. If you focus on the reporters arse and all that you get erotic!

Overall it is good fun, certainly a nice curio but not worth the money most people charge. I got it for under a tenner.

I had the Japanese version years ago, which was tough going. Didn't realise it got a PAL release.

Just saw that 1200 posted up and really want to fire up my old 600 now. That thing kept me gaming for quite some years.
I still have a lot of boxed games that I should photograph to show what I had...and those boxes were HUGE. Some classics were in there such as the Crash Test Dummies and Rise of the Robots (I seem to remember that having about 10 discs).

Only kidding! They aren't classics. The real good stuff included anything by Team 17 (Superfrog, Project X) plus the staple good games like Swiv and Battletoads.

                            Thanks

I was really impressed with how it still looked.
Shame I cant find the Turtles game though that seems to have dissapered somewhere
I did find Bubble Bobble, Tecmo Wrestling & Blue Shadow up there though
Quite tempted to start collecting for it again now.

My brother did have an A600 but we were burgled in '93 & they stole that along with my SNES, MD & Game Gear which is why we got an A1200 in replacement once we were paid out.

I may actually dig the games out at some point my brother has a massive amount of big box games...it seems odd to think for all those years we were sold tiny games on Disc or Tape in giant boxes for no reason what so ever.

I got burgled in '93 too, the bastards took my modded Megadrive, the first modded console I ever had. I loved it. My bedroom was locked though and they didn't get the Amiga 600. I hate thieves.

Sounds interesting but, like you say, it's pretty expensive in most places. I'll keep my eyes peeled for a cheapo copy.
