I remember the Ghosts n' Goblins & Super Ghouls n' Ghosts games not having the correct screen ratio or something on the Saturn Capcom Generation disc? They had large black bars on the sides while the PS version didn't. Still, it's a great collection whichever version you own.

Picked up Dead or Alive 2 yesterday for the DC. I already have the pal version but i heard the Japanese version had some "extra's" although it was the opening sequence that *ahem* really caught my eye.

The game still looks fantastic too, as does the artwork on the disc.
I just wish all DC games had such discs...

I think that the Saturn version runs at the rught resolution and that's why it has odd borders. Only Super Ghouls & Ghosts has these so it could be because it's a conversion from the Super famicom. I've sse other games on the saturn like this too. The saturn has more resolution options than the PSX so that's probably why they just left it. The actual graphics don't look at all distorted in anyway so I'm guessing it's the same as the original.

I got a PSone on Friday. Absolute mission, none in Gamestation or Dixons, and Game had a grubby secondhand one. So I went to see the miserable game dude on the Market and came away with an absolutely crisp mint boxed PSone for the grand sum of ?20!

I've just ordered Jpn versions of Einhander, R-Type Delta and Gradius Gaiden. Oh, and a ONEchip and RGB scart lead.

Turns out there's a whole treasure trove of 2D loveliness in the PSone catalogue. Although there are some expensive ?100+ games, most of it's on the buget labels: PSoneBooks/Rs Best/PS the Best etc... All around $24 (?14ish) brand new.

I just got two more PS1 bargains in Gamestation on my lunch break - team Buddies and Bust-A-Groove - ?2.99 each. They had a PAL Skies Of Arcadia DC in there, but as I didn't have enough money the bloke has put it by for me - ?12.99.

Anyone near Southampton may be interested in going in there as they have some good stuff - Marvel vs Capcom 1 & 2, Capcom vs SNK, and SFIII 3rd Strike PAL for DC - all around the ?10 mark. Also they have all of the Shining Force Games for the MD but they are ?29.99 each.

I love collecting for the PS1. There is sooooo much EA crap out on the shelves, that when you find the cracking games it gives you a mad buzz. Props to the collectors of Saturn stuff - but the best Saturn games tend to be Japanese, so some of the rummaging around second hand places is lost as most things are ordered from the far east. With Crime COnverters and Gamestation now doing most games at ?2.99 or ?3.00 each, there has never been a better time to collect games on this system.

Gamestation had PS1 Guilty Gear in mint condition for ?2.99. Fine by me

Nice. They have about four copies of that in my local Crime Converters.

All I want now is Street Fighter The Movie. I am absolutely dying to play that apparently awful, awful game.

Ridge Racer Type 4 arrived on Saturday & today 9 issues of Digital Press's 'zine arrived. I also love collecting for the PS1. So much puzzle goodness.

I also like collecting PSone games. There's plenty of them that I've never played before, plus they're a bit harder to get than Saturn/DC etc which makes it a bit more satisfying.

Finally plugged the gap I had in the KOF series. Both are close to mint, but the '95 is in amazing condition and looks like new

Ok, I believe I have scored THE best buy in ages today. Seems someone traded in some mint SNES stuff (sitting in their loft for over a decade it seems)...

I managed to get a MINT Super Mario World, PAL, Boxed. It seriously is in mint condition. The instruction manual looks like it has never been touched. Couldn't resist for ?11.99.

It really is in excellent condition...so much so that I myself was opening the box instead of the heavy-handed gamestation staff so I know it stays in absolute mint condition!

These two little beauties arrived 10 minutes ago. The puzzle collection continues to grow.
