    Retro Fan Death Match

Well..fresh from some fighting talk I feel its time for a Death match don't you?

And in the red corner..representing gaming in akihabara....the one...the only......MMMMMMMMMMDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDD (yay, whoopeee, hurrah)

And in the blue corner....representing gaming in Japan (outside akihabara)..the one.....the only.....YAAAAAAAAAAKUUUUUUUUUUUUMOOOOOOOOOOOOOO (yay, whoopeee, hurrah).

You both know the rules, no personal insults, no bitching, no whining, keep your facts straight at all times. I want a good clean fight ( ). Now back to your corners and come out fighting with facts/figures/prices etc once the bell sounds.

    Ding Ding.

Who judges? I think Strider should win for working for the Retro section of a magazine.

Sadly I do go to shops outside Akihabara to buy games, especially Famicom ones, bought about 15 yesterday.

            Anyway lets start

Yakumos reply to me stating that 'Outrun 2019' is called 'Outrun 2019' in Japan and not 'Junkers High' (the Asian release...)

7 Years and still didn't do you a great deal.

I don't believe you are actually going ahead with a slagging battle. you sad man or should that be boy? Grow up,, be a man and just accept that I'm here for good (in Japan) and your not. Live with it. When I lived in the UK I never tried to find faults with people posting all their great stuff. I was grateful to them for showing me what was available. I'm not even going to bother with your insults. If you have a problem then come to my house and talk it over since you're in Japan. I'll even take you to a few places including a mate who owns a Famicom shop (will close down in a week though because the road will be extended).

I can't believe how Jealous MD is of Yakumo. How old is MD anyway...i will take a guess 12. When did you actually get into gaming (or do you just collect)MD? A little story from when i got my Jap Megadrive & my mate got his PC Engine. I remember a couple of kids in school having the Amiga & raving on about the games Alien Breed (****), Xenon 2(****), Silkworm(****), Blood Money(****, the intro was ok), James Pond(****), Shadow of the Beast (4096 colours in the background WOW!!!! & 2 frames of animation on the main character ****) & some Power Drift racing game(forgot the name) which had over scan, **** . I got my Jap Megadrive with Altered Beast, World Soccer & Space Harrier 2, the other games available at the time i think were Thunderblade & Sokoban(not to sure about Sokoban). Anyway over the year or so i bought in no particular order Super Hang-on, Zoom, Ghouls & Ghosts, Rambo 3, Whiprush, Golden Axe, Forgotten Worlds, Thunderforce 2, Revenge of Shinobi, Thunderforce 3 & few more. I invited the Amiga lovers round to see the Megadrive over the year or so & i couldn't believe how jealous they became, of games they could only dream of playing on the Amiga. We use to compare R-type on the Amiga to the Engine version (which was nearly arcade perfect) and piss ourselves laughing. Anyway sorry to go on, but after reading some of your posts MD & your jealousy towards Yakumo, you remind me of the jealous Amiga loving schoolkid. GROW UP & just enjoy his posts.

I going to play Resident Evil 4 now & guess? who i will be thinking of when i am taking heads clean off with the shotgun & the odd suplex.........

I would do but I'd by biased towards Yakumo. I've not really got much time for people who constantly slag off the work I do on the retro section, so MD would lose by default

Yakumo-Alright mate, I don't know you from adam but can I just say something? It's mint living in Japan, especially Tokyo init. We are legit and if you don't live and breath this cuntry then you don't feature come gaming in Japan proper. The End. To be fair however, I do suspect that if it came to it and if it was the question I would put money on MD knowing infinately more about Japanese TV-Games than you. But waking up every morning, everyday in this country is what it's all about if you are a Japanophile.

Got your mobile so might give you a tinkle from one Japan resident to another.

MD-Go home mate, you don't feature.
