The Super Wildcard killed my snes gaming fun!?

Did anyone ever buy one of these cart to floppy copiers for the snes? I must admit when I purchased one eons ago I thought it would be great getting so many games for peanuts, but somehow out of every 20 games, I would only really play about 2 cause the rest were not much cop. Ironically now I'm trying to re-buy all the good games on it's original cart.

*Oh btw is it possible to copy over roms from the net onto a floppy to work on the wildcard. Don't think I've tried it. Would be useful for those hard to find games and be better than playing on a emu.

If the game can fit on one disc then it will play fine.
However, if it spilled over onto two or more disks then I could never find an app that the SNES liked in joining them. This was on a Super Pro-Fighter and on a Mac BTW, might be different for Windows and Wild Cards.

Best method I've found is using a PS2 pad through an Xbox for emulation. The pad is identical to the SNES, the emulator beefs up the graphics and introduces save states.

I had a wildcard and it actually taught me a lot; most games are crap!

The funny thing was the fact that the games I played and loved the most were ones I bought on cartridge. PilotWings, F-zero, MarioWorld, MarioKart, SFT , Actraiser and a few other classics.

The wildcard made me feel like a games journalist with piles of the latest games surrounding me, but little of real interest. I would say it helped me get into Japanese games more; I loved Cameltry and PuyoPuyo.

I don't bother with copies these days; I realised a long time ago that its quality not quantity that makes me happy. I was a kid back then, and me and my bro thought it was cool to show-off all the latest games, and it did make my house very popular

Your right, have the same with GBA and Flash Cart, still play the same old favourite games, but handy if you've got kids who play a game for an hour then never touch it again.
