    Consolevania Season Finale is Retro

Just a heads-up that the last Consolevania of the series, before the relaunch in June, is going to be a retro special.

Admittedly, it won't be dealing with obscure import games from 1983, but anyone who remembers sticking wee screwdrivers into their C64 tape deck should certainly keep an eye out.

    Cheers.

kingston, all the Consolevanias will be direct downloads from June.

And Geo, the retro show will be focusing mainly on what those of us on the show actually played when we were young. So a lot of C64, Speccy and Amiga stuff. We want to do real nostalgic justice to the stuff.

We can recommend Yakumo's excellent retro-core for the import retro magic, but.

Just thought I'd say after a shaky episode at Christmas, I finally watched the Resident Evil Special yesterday, and found it magnificent.

Funny stuff with some great reviews.

I remember doing that - I also remember using a paper clip on the expansion port to reset the machine in order to enter peeks and pokes.

And yes, once I blew my C64 up from shorting out the wrong pins

                Looking forward to it.

Any chance of a scrolling beat'em'up special with you guys dressed like some crazy characters from the games; a real piss take of the genre would be funny!

With regards to the Retro special, I hope Pinball Dreams/Fantasies is mentioned; that game took-up a lot of my childhood.

Also its good to hear that the episodes will be direct downloads in June.

                  Cheers! 8)

I remember doing that. Although I used to just use the earth lead from the datasette to touch pin 4.

Last Ninja. You have to include the Last Ninja series.

Anything with Paradroid and Jack the Nipper would do me...
...but by the time the Amiga was around, I was firmly in the console camp.

You should definitely stick to what you had/know/liked etc. Looking forward to the episode.
